iTouchless 16 Gallon Dual-Compartment Automatic Sensor Touchless Recycle Bin/Trash Can : Best thing about this is that you can turn it

This is the third one i got if that tells you how nice these are. Got one for the kitchen, then bought one for the office. Unfortunately, the second one came with no packing and completely smashed- couldn’t even salvage – cracked, broken button, but i was promptly refunded and still bought another. This replacement actually came in more of a gray color than the tan pictured or the one i have in the kitchen. I guess there are two colors, but if you are concerned, don’t be; it is a very subtle difference. This can is so easy to empty both sides, it opens without touching and closes, what can i say, it’s a garbage can, but i guess you’d say the rolls royce of cans. Update: i just read horrible reviews on this. I have two and have not had a problem in years. And, i replaced the batteries just twice in about 2.

Not as automatic as advertised. The idea of being able to open, shut, and even change the bags on trash days sounded great, but this offering just didn’t make the mark. I could never get it to open or close unless i used the regular way of opening the lids. It’s not ‘touchless’ or as easy to use as advertised. One factor that made me give it even a 3 star rating is that it fits conveniently under a counter and is quite small in appearance considering all it holds.

The can is great, wheels not so much. One of the wheels came off after a week. I could never get it to stay back on. I love the trash can, but the wheel has been a problem.

I am very orgonized person, so this product is a very good one. But, it works with battery and i think i have to order an adaptor seperately. It is worth buying an adaptor for sure. You won’t be dissapointed spending that much money.

iTouchless 16 Gallon Dual-Compartment Automatic Sensor Touchless Recycle Bin/Trash Can : Absolute remarkable service. Product worked great but it’s something for adults or mature people to work as my kids oils have caused the door to get stuck. I was offered great tips for care and instructions and after it did stop opening the company was understanding and made an exception to replace the lid. I’m very thankful and humbled by the willing mess within their company to help.

The models out now are great. Some older models from several years ago had some problems. They have corrected any flaws from the past.

Best thing about this is that you can turn it. Best thing about this is that you can turn it off when dogs are around. Protects the compost and i tape some filters inside and voila. Zero bugs, fruit flies and smells. Buckets are so easy to use and line. Love the size of the composting compartment. So easy to dump and scrape in the scraps.

This is the second one we purchased as after about 3 years, the hinges on the first rusted. But we liked the convenience so much we ordered a second. These hinges are plastice and should last longer. Just make sure it isn’t in an area of heavy traffice as it was scared more than one visitor by opening automatically as they passed by.

iTouchless AC Power Adapter for Automatic Touchless Sensor Stainless Steel Trash Can : A must have for the simple human 13 gallon stainless steel auto-opening trash can.

Absolutely worth the purchase in addition to your itouchless trash can. I love not having the hassle of batteries. The itouchless was also the only automatic trash can i could find that had the option of an ac adapter. To add on, i’ve had excellent customer service experiences with itouchless when i encountered a couple issues with my trash cans lid.

I dislike changing batteries so for me this was a good buy.

I love it so much that i got one for myself. Originally got this and a trashcan for my mother for christmas. I love it so much that i got one for myself as well.

I am very pleased to no worry about batteries leaking. I bought this power adapter to power my itouchless automatic kitchen trash can. I am very pleased to no worry about batteries leaking. I had another automatic trashcan that worked well and used only 4 d batteries a year. But my second can caused or had batteries fail, leak and the unit failed shortly thereafter. This purchase was in december 2016 so time will tell.

Handy option for touchless trash can. This is a good option to have to save on using batteries or if you run out of them.

Works great and without needing batteries at all.

Touchless power cord adapter. I dislike that were no directions that told you that if this cord stops working that you should unplug for a certain length of time so it can reset itself.

Very easy to use and as described. Got this for my touch less trash can. Very easy to use and as described.

Adaptor for itouchless trashcan review. Fits my trashcan and works great. The cord is long so it was easy to find an electrical socket that would reach it.

As i bought it in the hopes that our garbage can just needed a new adaptor but that was. I can’t fairly review as i bought it in the hopes that our garbage can just needed a new adaptor but that was not the issue.

iTouchless Fully Automatic Stainless Steel Touchless Trashcan NX, Nothing better then this stainless steel trash can.

Nothing better then this stainless steel trash can. . This is our second itouchless stainless steel trash can. I recommend the transformer rather then batteries if electric is near by. This size holds a 13 gallon plastic kitchen bag. The vents allow you to easily remove the plastic trash bag. Watch the expression on your friends face when they go to open the garbage can and it up pops open by itself. Don’t be surprised if they throw things out a few times. It’s extremely easy to use when you have your hands full, automatically open and closing.

We had another one of these for years and finally broke the top. I ordered this he same day to replace the old one. This one is actually better because it has wheels. Also ordered the power adaptor this time so no batteries to deal with. Everyone in my family and our guests love this trash can and we wouldn’t be without it.

It works great, i use the ac adapter because its close to an outlet, this is my second one. My housekeeper broke the first one because she couldn’t figure out how to work it.

“Somewhat short “lifespan” but my family insists I keep buying these!, Not my idea of a big deal., Nothing better then this stainless steel trash can.”

Great large and fun trash can. I mean – really – a fun trash can?.The kids love to throw trash away and it’s large enough the trash only has to be carried to the curb can once a week. I got this as a novelty birthday gift for my son and it was perfect for him and his kids.

Somewhat short ‘lifespan’ but my family insists i keep buying these. I have purchased 4 different sizes of itouchless cans in the last 6 years. The 1- and 8-gallon sizes are still going strong since they get less use, but results have been less than stellar for the larger models that we have used for the kitchen. My original 18-gallon model worked fine for about a year and a half, after which the gear for the raising mechanism broke (as many reviewers have noted). I went ahead and paid the $40 to buy a replacement lid and that kept going for about another year and a half. I upgraded to the larger 23–gallon model at that point and haven’t had any issues (only 12 months going at this point). I like the really large capacity of the 23-gallon model; with 2 adults and 2 kids we generate a lot of kitchen trash, apparently. I haven’t had any rust issues with any of the units i have purchased, even though occasionally something does get spilled inside. The fact that it rolls on casters makes it convenient to push out of the way for cleaning the floor. All in all, i like the functionality of the can.

This looks fabulous in my kitchen. The product worked great, until recently. I spilled some liquid on the top of the trash can and now the motion sensor is not working properly. However, the open and close button is still working. I am going to give it a few days and see if it will fix itself. The customer service was very nice.

Won’t trash this trashcan though problems existed. This was great at first but after a few months, the cover to the compartment that held the batteries fell out for no apparent reason, and the plastic part that held it in broke so that it could no longer hold in the batteries. It was past the point where it could be returned. While it was working, it was great. Now this may have been a quirk in this particular trash can–a lemon amongst other good and long-lasting products, so i’m not really willing to ‘trash’ the product. I did replace it, however, with another sensor trash can that was square in shape and i find that it’s so much easier to get my trash and dustpan contents into than a round can. That was really my only problem with it–the round opening was difficult to manage when putting certain things into it. You may have better luck with it than i had. I just think it was a lemon and my needs weren’t a match for its features.

So far, this unit performs as expected. Its a little tall for 13 gal bags, but i just put some of the styrofoam packing material in the bottom and it works fine. I guess they didn’t listen to complaints about the sticker on the front, because it is still impossible to remove. The sensor on this one is supposed to be redesigned and better, but i have nothing to compare it to. I’ll be shocked if the lid mechanism lasts more than 6 months. I’ll refresh this review in 6 mos if i can remember*updated july 2009*the lid on this cracked and stopped working about a year in – but to be fair, i dropped the top heavy lid unit on the floor. The only other real complaint i have is that there are alot of catch points in the can that can make it tough to remove the bag. Depending on whats in it, you have to take it slow and wiggle it out to avoid ripping the bag.

We love the itouchless line. We love the itouchless line, the ability to use a power cord instead of batteries is an amazing bonus. The size of this can is large enough for our big messy family but not to large to still look nice in our kitchen.

It’s a big can that easily holds gallon sized bottles and larger household trash. The panel is less prone to collecting dirt and crud like the buttons on my last infrared trash can. Update-it is now 3 months later and the thing has stopped working. My last can worked for 3 years, i’m livid.

My family purchased the nx 23 gallon model over 4 years ago. When we got it, our 2 boys were 3 years old. It made it through quite a bit of abuse by them. We have absolutely loved the convenience and the tech geek conversation it starts up when we have guests. Just recently, the gear mechanism in the lid snapped and it no longer will open. We have been pleased enough with it overall to purchase a new lid mechanism from itouchless (about $70). Hopefully, it will last another 4 years or more.

Not my idea of a big deal. . I put this trashcan in the middle, 3-star, rating because my opinion cannot go lower or higher. When my wife informed me that she was getting this high-tech trashcan, i tried to tell her it sounded like a bunch of over-priced brew-ha-ha. Well, the trashcan arrived, so specific to the trashcan here is my feedback. It has four (4) roller wheels that have to be pushed into the bottom molding of the can itself. I found these wheels to be very sturdy because i had to damn near stand on them to get them to slide into the pre-punched holes. Once in, i am confident these wheels are not coming out. The can works on d size batteries or with an ac adapter (sold separately :)) but the instructions clearly state not to use both simultaneously. I felt like that was just a little bit more than i wanted to remember about a trashcan. Installing the plastic bags requires using a bag holding ‘ring’ that comes with the can.

I originally purchased the previous model of this trashcan years ago. Eventually the automatic open mechanism started to fail. I was able to fix it at first by redoing the solder joints which connected wires to the circuit board. That made it last a few more years longer until finally it would refuse to close the lid. Push the close button, and bam. Tired of being mocked by a rebellious garbage can, i decided to purchase this model for a replacement. Itouchless didn’t sell replacement parts for the older model.

I wish i would have bought this years ago. I stayed with my sister in atlanta and she had one. This is totally hands free(you can touch a button to open if you want to). This is so great for mutliple reasons. First bieng germs and second who wants to tiuch a trasdh can?.She uses batteries but i spent 14 dollars and bought the ac adaptor.

Ok, so it works as people have described it. Here are 2 things to consider from an ease of use perspective. Most people use 13 gallon bags, this can is 12 gallon. However, that doesn’t mean that a normal trash bag doesn’t fit in it, it fits well enough, as a matter of fact, the can is longer than the length of standard bags. This is a problem because the bag sags down when trash is put into it. There is a metal ring that you are supposed to use when fitting the trash bag ‘inside’ the can, i guess the idea is that the trash bag doesn’t show from the outside. Using this metal ring is a pain, if takes a lot of fiddling to put a trash bag into the can and more fiddling to take it out.

Nice size and sleek trashcan. The only issue would be the electric lid, poor design and the lid sometimes doesn’t work and noisy. The automatic lid needs improvement, the sensors are cheap as well.
