RSVP PAIL-SM Steel Compost Pail – Get this, I love mine.

Attractive counter top compost pail. Nicely made, decorative way to control wet garbage in the kitchen. We use with a small plastic bag now that we’ve moved into the city and can no longer compost, and empty it each night to control kitchen pests. Washes easily in the dishwasher.

No issues with fruit flies or unpleasant odors. Dishwasher safe and everything. You just have to be careful washing the lid so you don’t soak the filters inside.

I have been using this for a while now. I wish it were a bit bigger as when i am in the cooking mode i have to empty it more often, but when i am not cooking much, and the contents sit for a while, there is no smell, no fruit flies, unlike other things i have used. And, i can’t break it, and it washes and cleans up nicely.

  • Excellent countertop compost pail
  • Just the right size for the average kitchen
  • A NICE-SIZED PAIL TO KEEP YOUR KITCHEN WASTE

Although i love the pail itself, the handle came apart almost immediately when the giant screw fell and rolled god knows where??.

We had another brand of compost pail which rusted, leaving a lovely rust stain on our kitchen counter. We’ve had this one – and used it – for just as long as the first with no rust. The filters work great – no smell – and it’s just the right size for our empty nest.

I was amazed as to how well this pail works. It is sitting on my kitchen counter. I couldn’t smell a thing but, when i opened it lol needless to say i could smell the strawberries/tomatoes/strips of cucumber and etc. There are no little flies buzzing around it; so you wouldn’t even know i had stuff in it. I have had to make several trips to my compost pile cause i have been filling it up a lot faster since i have been doing the raw food lifestyle. But, no problem it is good exercise and i get to see and hear all the wildlife in my backyard that i would other wise miss. This little pail is so very easy to clean, just a little soap and hot water and looks great on my counter top taking up very little space. I would recommend it very highly to anyone wanting to compost.

This is a petite can (about 6 x 9), but the perfect size for my counter space. It seems to be a quality stainless steel can with a double charcoal filter in the lid.

Why didnt i get one of these 10 years ago?. Looks nice on the counter, no bugs, no smell. Everytime i start something that is going to generate compost waste in the kitchen, i grab my bucket and everything goes straight into this. So much nicer and neater than a bowl of stuff sitting on the counter waiting for my next trip to the compost bin. No more fighting gnats or fruit flies. It even looks decorative on my countertop.

Nice, clean, fuctional and well built. My little composter bin is the perfect size to leave under my sink, and is super easy to clean out. Big enough to put scraps for about 4 days worth of waste from two people before it needs to be taken to the composter pile. Purchased on amazon cause i found it’s the cheapest price i could find on the internet, and amazon sent it out super fast with free shipping.

Looks great and has a filter. I have been trying to compost for years and i usually just put the kitchen scraps in a bowl on the counter. The bowl sits for a while or i forget to bring it out quickly enough and my wife just dumps it in the trash. So, she bought this and it looks very nice sitting on the counter, which is a plus. It also has holes in the top and a filter underneath it, so it wont smell up the kitchen if i leave it too long.

I love my little compost pail. It’s ideal for my one-person household. It’s attractive enough that i keep it on the counter where it’s reachable from the sink, and it’s small enough to make me empty it more often than a larger pail, which in turn keeps the odor and any fruit flies at a minimum. I’ve had it a little while and there’s absolutely no sign of rust or corrosion of any kind. Since i do use bags and empty it fairly often, it’s easy to keep clean and dry.

A nice-sized pail to keep your kitchen waste. We found this pail to be ideal for the amount of kitchen waste our family generates. It has a bail on it which makes it convenient to carry to our large composter. The filter in the lid is effective at trapping odors within the pail. The stainless steel of which the pail is made presents a very good appearance and cleans quite easily. I think this 1/2 gallon pail would likely fit into any kitchen décor.

Good looking, but not odorless. I really like the way this looks on my counter top. And it’s exactly the right size. The charcoal filters do help to contain the garbage odors. But if you are cooking for one or two, and do not need to empty daily, you will smell the odor of food waste as it decomposes after a few days. That is unless you close the inner bag (i use the plastic veg bags from the grocer as liners) and then put the lid on. In my kitchen, this stainless container replaced a clear plastic container about the same size that had a lid that was airtight, so those odors did not happen, and less oxygen was getting inside, thus less decomp. But it does speed up the compost process, so well worth taking the time to make it work in your situation.

The mini compost pail was exactly as i had expected. I have a small kitchen so space is at a premium. Amazingly enough, it holds much more than i expected. It is attractive and compact. I had put garlic peels, onion peels, etc. In it and no odor was emitted. My only frustration is that it requires two filters. . One square and the other round. They are washable so i suspect they will last quite awhile.

I love this little silver bucket. It looks good on my counter next to the sink. It’s easy to clean and with just a paper towel i can make it shine. I would say that if you do a lot of cooking it could be on the small side for you. We need to dump it every other day, not the week that it claims. We live in the frozen north so i compost in just the summer and fall when all the fresh stuff is out. I do love it and many of my friends have seen it and ordered one too.

Icing on the decomposition cake. This little gem is perfecto. Who would expect to adore a compost pail so much?. It’s pretty small (as described), which i like. And it looks great (just like the pic). I haven’t gotten to put it to the sniff test yet, but the filter is much larger than the cermanic pail i used before (which was effective), so i trust it will be great. And i think it will last longer. I like that this is steel as well. I had a very similiar ceramic one, which was likewise nice looking. But i like this better for two reasons.

Perfect size for kitchen counter. I bought the pail mainly to avoid having to get out to my compost bin often in winter when it is severely cold and snowy in wisconsin, but it is very helpful and handy even in summer. I happened to have some biodegradable big-dog poop bags, with which i decided to line the pail so i won’t have to wash it too often. The pail is pretty, the filter keeps the odor in even when it is fairly warm in the house, and i only take the content out to the bin when the bag is full, which is every five days or so. I just hope that i will be able to find a replacement filter of the right size when i need one. It would be even better if the filter were washable and reusable.

This compost pail looks much better on my counter than the old ice cream bucket i used to use. The mini pail is the size of a large coffee can. It holds about a day’s worth of scraps. The filter does an excellent job of keeping odors away. I wish it were a big larger — i got the smaller size because i worried the big one would overwhelm my limited kitchen ‘real estate. ‘ i have become much better at saving my compost material because this little pail is so easy to use.
