Play-Doh Trash Tossin’ Rowdy the Garbage Truck – The truck is a nice size and feels sturdy

Try one of the other play-doh trucks. My 3 year old son got this for his birthday. He loves the idea of this toy, but the truck is very hard to use. You have to push down very hard to get it to shoot the garbage out the back. My son is now almost 4 and he still can’t do it, and neither can his 6 year old sister. The press to make bottles and garbage cans gets stuck a lot because my son will try to put it in upside down. The other accessories are pretty standard play-doh stuff. All in all, while my son likes this, i would try one of the other trucks.

Nice set and a good sized truck. I didn’t expect this toy to be so big but my almost 4 year old can use it just fine. We have collected the play-doh sets that chuck and friends has, he’s a construction and truck enthusiast. This toy is fun, you can make trash with the molds(bottles and garbage cans) use the shovel to pick up and put in the bin and then rowdy smashes the trash or play-doh into different shapes and shoots them or drops them out the back. Super easy to use and clean doesn’t leave a bunch of play-doh inside the truck. My son enjoys the truck very much and i like i don’t have to sit and help him constantly.

This garbage truck actually makes a mess. The playdoh it uses is more creamy/sticky than the standard formula. I think this is to help it get through the spinning part of the trash compactor in the truck. In any case, it means you’re going to have to clean up after your kiddo uses it. I’d also recommend avoiding use on the carpet. The blue bin also seems to come off to easily. Overall, my kiddo didn’t care for it much either. Fun but not for really usable for little ones. I bought this for a friend’s little boy. It works but it requires so strength to get it to work. You roll the truck back and forth to make the ‘trash’ come out the bottom. Inside the truck is pressing the playdough into the molds for you as you roll. This requires so pressure and will not work for the 3 year old without help. He does like it though and he plays with it without playdough too.

3 yr old begs to play with this. My son begs to play with this. It keeps him busy for quite awhile. It’s a little tough to clean out afterward, so i just let the remnants dry up and spit out before next use. You’ll understand what i’m saying, once you use it. It spits out play doh pieces in the form of garbage. My 3 yr old is obsessed with garbage trucks and this is perfect.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Meh – not worth the mess
  • Our 2 year old LOVES it! And we do too!
  • Nice set and a good sized truck!

I purchased this for my three year old as a reward for potty training. We have the brick maker/cutter from the same series and he loves to pull them out and play with them together. The truck comes with several small containers of play-doh (which is not a big deal; play-doh is super cheap), a shovel, a removable trash bin, the truck itself and there is a slot behind the eyes that has a pop out container that, when you put play-doh in it, makes bottles and trash cans. When you put the play-doh in the top trash compactor and roll it, it drops different pieces of ‘trash’, pieces of play-doh pressed by the truck when you roll it. My three year old son and 19 month old daughter love this truck, with or without play-doh.

I bought this for my 3-year old nephew. He loves trucks of all kinds and he liked that when you put in play-dough and rolled it, little fish would pop out. It seemed pretty sturdy and he hasn’t broken it yet.

I bought this god my 2 1/2 year old son who loves all things play-doh. It’s very easy for him to put play-doh in the truck and push it around to make cool play-doh trash. Then, he gets to go scoop it up with the truck’s garbage can or another bulldozer he has. Plus, my 5 and 7 year-olds really enjoy it, too. There is usually a fight over it when the play-doh comes out.

This is a perfect boy toy, but it can be a bit messy. This was the gift that took top prize for my son’s birthday and probably one of the least expensive. Rowdy has a mold to make bottles and cans for recycling that can be lifted over his head into his bin and then spit out behind him while rolling. The trash he spits out is formed into really yucky looking fish bone trash. A four year old boy’s dream come true. I must admit i had fun with this too, so i wasn’t as annoyed with the mess. Kid and mom/psychologist approved.

It is the cutest toy ever for my grandson who is obsessed with garbage trucks. . It is the cutest toy ever for my grandson who is obsessed with garbage trucks.

The truck is a nice size and feels sturdy. My son got this for his 3rd birthday. You do have to push the truck really firmly when you roll it, in order to make the shapes (trash) get ‘thrown’ out the back, but he will learn to do it soon enough. The truck is a nice size and feels sturdy. Probably, his favorite thing about the toy, is squeezing the dough through the little trash can.

Stars is because the ‘trash’ does not dispense as easily as i thought it might. My grandson of 3 years loves the truck – the only reason i did not give 5 stars is because the ‘trash’ does not dispense as easily as i thought it might.

My 3-year old grandson loves this toy, so he would give it five stars. The drawback to this item is the fact that you need a really large space to be able to get the desired results. It’s not like you can put it on a table with your toddler as they don’t have the arm span (nor does the table have the length) to use it properly. So you wind up letting them play with it on the floor. You will find yourself avoiding these little fish-shaped landmines so as not to trip on them or carry them throughout your house on the bottom of your shoe. Wish it was calibrated in such a way that the fish would come out at much shorter intervals. Cute idea, and as i mentioned my 3-year old grandson adores it, but i don’t feel it was well thought out.

Lots of fun, but probably not great for an all carpeted. Bought this for a 4 year old’s birthday gift. Lots of fun, but probably not great for an all carpeted house. You do have to push down and drive it around to create the ‘trash’.

So it seemed a little odd to me that kids would get so much pleasure from garbage trucks. Yet, i was pleasantly surprised to find that the toy industry has this covered. I ordered this for my nephew, the garbage truck lover, for his third birthday. And has enjoyed many fun moments playing with rowdy.

But great for kids who love trash trucks. We’ve had it for a little over a month and it’s already broken. Not sure if that’s the products fault or my son. But great for kids who love trash trucks.
