Glad Tall Kitchen Handle-Tie Trash Bags – I just love the ease of pulling them out of the trash

These are the strongest and best trash bags i have found. The handles are so easy to use and we just tie them together and place in ourtrash can. I hope glad never stops making them.

Simply the best, why both with anything else. I always loved these bags, and my mother insists they are the best, but since i found them hard to find (certainly not at costco or local large supermarket) i moved onto other glad and other brand products – always with a level of dissatisfaction. However, now i have wised up. These simply are the best bags. Comfortable, sturdy, easy to use, simply the best. Don’t even bother with anything else. These are the only garbage bags you ever need.

With the handles pulled down around the. With the handles pulled down around the outside of the can the bag doesn’t tend to slide down into the can the way other bags do. Also the handles tie up the bag well and you still have the handles to carry out to big garbage bag. I originally got these at the supermarket and when they became unavailable there i liked them so much that i hunted them down on the internet and got a good supply of them.

  • Completely satisfied
  • This is the best kitchen trash bag
  • These are the best!

The only kitchen trash bag my family wants to use. . I have been using these specific bags for years. I bought another kind once because it was on sale and the deal was great – but the kids carried on about having to tie and carry trash by strings instead of the nice big handle ties. These are always sturdy enough to get the trash out of the crammed full can and out to the bins without issue.

I have been having trouble finding these bags.

Not to get to exited about garbage bags, but i love these particular ones and. Not to get to exited about garbage bags, but i love these particular ones and they seem to be really hard to get where i live. The 4 pack was a great price too.

These are the best kitchen trash bags on the market, as far as i’m concerned. The handle-ties don’t rip through the to top of the bag like the draw-string kind do. I just wish they were easier to find. They seem to be available in stores for just a few weeks in the winter, then nobody has them again until the next year. Thus, i have to buy them from amazon.

I have been using these bags for years, and like others, don’t understand why they’ve become impossible to find in stores. These handles built into the bag are far superior to any drawstring or ‘flaps’ bag. However, i’ve taken one star off because with the latest batch of bags that i just opened (purchased in november 2011) are quite noticeably thinner (i. Virtually transparent) than they used to be. I have a dark blue trash can, and up until now, you could not tell what color or even shade of can i had when bag was in it. Now however, you easily see the dark color of the can through the bag. I’m just on my first one from this batch, so it remains to be seen if they’ve managed to retain the strength and durability they’ve always had (i don’t see how that’s possible though), but appearance-wise it would seem that glad is following the trend of cutting back on materials to cut costs.

Expensive but it’s the only place i’ve found them.

I love these bags, but i can never seem to find them in the stores. I was happy with the product and with the price. I will definitely order again.

I use to buy these at target but they don’t carry them anymore and neither do other stores.

Good alternative to the upscale, stretchy style. . After years of paying more for the high-priced, stretchy, tear-resistant bags from the same manufacturer i took a chance on downgrading just a notch to these. While i would probably revert to the more high-tech type if we were still putting our bags out on the curb, now that our waste collection professionals require us to use enclosed plastic bins, these will be my bags of choice.

They are strong and so easy to tie. I can’t find these locally anymore so i ordered the auto ship. These are the only bags i will use. They are strong and so easy to tie. They fit a kitchen trash can perfectly without falling down in the can. So glad i can get them on amazon.

I am so happy to find these handle-tie bags on amazon. They are nearly impossible to find in grocery stores anymore, and i even checked my local wal-marts several times without success. If you’re using those hateful plastic-tie bags, you must try these out.I completely agree with the reviewers who said the handle ties are easier to tie, they’ve never broken when i’ve used them, they cause less stress on your fingers when you’re carrying the bag, and they are great to hook over door knobs when you’re cleaning. They seem to fit my kitchen garbage can better, too. The other bags seem to always work their way down inside the garbage can, which causes a mess. The handle-tie bags tuck in easily and the handle ties fold over the outside rim of my garbage can just right until i’m ready to remove the bag. They are neat, clean, and fantastic. As long as i can find glad handle-tie bags, i will never use anything else.

Good size for tall kitchen cans. Study and fits my slightly over-sized kitchen waste basket.

I just love the ease of pulling them out of the trash. I buy these by the case, i just love the ease of pulling them out of the trash can, i have brought these several timeand will continue until they dont make them anymore.

We used to have the ones with the red string, and for some reason, the bag would rip where the string was so the bags wouldn’t close. After about a dozen times i was done with them, so i started looking for different trash bags and came across these. I absolutely love these, i have never had a bag rip on me and it is always easy to find the handles.

The best kitchen garbage bags. These are the best kitchen garbage bags. I greatly prefer them to the ones with the drawstrings; for some reason, these particular ones aren’t always available at the stores where i shop, so i just decided to pick them up here. The wide handles make lifting the bags out of the can very easy and tying the bag off with the handles is very quick and secure. Everyone in my family has used this kind of bag for years — so glad that they are readily available at amazon.

Have been using them for years. I love that i can use the handles to knot of the top instead of the pull ties which never really seal the top. With the handles, you can tie up the top pretty well.

4M Trash Robot Kit : Think the dog enjoyed shaking and biting the robot more than the kids

The grand kids loved putting these together. But then it was like easy come easy go.

Should had read the description. I thought this product included a motor but does not. It was my fault because i didn’t read the information.

Loved this toy, great little learning experience. Grandson had lots of fun putting this together. They include lots of stickers, which added to my gs’s delight.Going to reorder for his birthday.

Worked as described, thank you.

We bought this as a gift for a 6 year old’s birthday party at robot garage. The building kits that 4m are making are really great. It’s an excellent way for kids to get exposed to science and creativity in such a fun, exciting way. These little kids are affordable (often sold at five & below even) and make great birthday gifts that serve a dual purpose of being so educational.

4M Trash Robot Kit :

Think the dog enjoyed shaking and biting the robot more than the kids. 15 minutes of entertainment max. Think the dog enjoyed shaking and biting the robot more than the kids did rolling it around though.

Worked as described, thank you.

Always a good gift for kids.

Great way to pass a rainy afternoon. Got this for my going-on 6 year old son who mastered his advanced erector set within 6 months. He loves that he can make robots out of trash and so far it seems pretty sturdy.

It comes with enough for 2 robots, and my 6 year old girl and 4 year old boy absolutely loved it.

Is good but better for the little ones like 3-5 years old.

U bought this as a gift for my grandson who is 9 yrs old. He created what was expected with room for question and requests for additional products. Will order again and recommend.

I should have read the description more closely. . It’s ok for what it is, but it’s just stickers and wheels. I naively thought there would be some kind of actual robotics. I realize that might have been expecting a lot for the price, but i thought something along the lines of a toothbrush motor would be included. My kids also had more trouble then they expected finding trash the right size to attach to the base. I don’t mean to be overly negative. They still had fun, but this is just a craft project not a true robot kit.

Great gift for a birthday party.

Should had read the description. I thought this product included a motor but does not. It was my fault because i didn’t read the information.

Always a good gift for kids.

Fun set for robot loving boys. I bought this set for my 5 yr old son and his playmate who is 4, also a boy. They had a great time putting this robots together. They used diet coke cans, although if i had had water bottles that day, it would have been better to use those. The set includes two wheel bases (you assemble – easy) and stickers. The sticker would show up better on a plain water bottle, so that is why it would have been better to use those. The boys had a great time putting stickers on their robots. Then, they enjoyed playing with them having races and whatnot. I took a star off because i think for the price the kit should come with another wheel base or two and more stickers. I don’t plan on buying another set, but it was a nice change for the boys from the usually crafts we do.

Waste and Want: A Social History of Trash : A Treasure based on Trash

Seems like the level of detail got to the point of saying the same thing, just worded differently.

Fantastic read about the social history of recycling. . This is a great book which i have lent to more people than other book i can remember. If you are big on recycling, you be fascinated by all of the stories about recycling.

Worth reading – and enlightening. . As a guy who works in the environmental field (i am a geologist) i found this book absolutely fascinating. It reveals things about life in the past that i could never have imagined. We just abandoned the practice after wwii and became a throw-away society.

Discusses with fascinating clarity what, on the surface, would appear to be a repellant subject. American history has a whole new meaning. This book answers the unspoken questions of ‘what did they do with. . ‘ in an orderly, systematic yet very interesting way. Who would have known garbage could be so riveting?well written, without technical jargon and extremely well organized. Strausser has turned a sow’s ear into a silk purse. Excellent discussion of the why and how of our detritus disposal through the ages right up through the hippie revival of the 70’s and the recycling exchange on the internet today. I can highly recommend this book to anyone with even a slight interest in the cycle and re-cycle of our castoffs.

I found parts of the book very interesting. The knowledge of how society has dealt with trash and garbage and how and why those approaches have changed over the years is useful to one’s thinking about the current problems we have with disposal. The book does a good job of informing the reader that ‘recycling’ is not at all a new concept and that, in fact, it was the standard for a long time up until the consumerism of the 20th century got us all on the ‘throw it away and buy new’ bandwagon. But there are parts of the book that need editing and throw which i found myself skimming — somewhat repetitive references to the important of the rag-trade or the over-long discussion of the development of women’s menstrual products. It felt like a lot of research that needed some editing.

Waste and Want: A Social History of Trash : This book is a history of household waste in the united states and what we have done with it over the years. Although strasser takes her research as far back as colonial times, most of the focus is on the habits of the nineteenth century, and how they evolved with our changing society. The first chapter introduces the central theme of the book, how in the past, especially before the turn of the twentieth century, waste products served as raw materials for other products. In other words, before we ever invented the word “recycling”, practically everything was recycled. Over the past 100 years, this has changed, so that now recycling seems like a new idea. Whereas in the past, cities and households constituted one component of a closed production/consumption system that included manufacturers, following the age of industrialization and mass production, that system has broken apart, and there is now a one-way flow from the factories to the consumers. And this flow leads eventually to mountains of garbage, for which we currently seem to have no better solution than mass burial. Strasser begins her story by describing an archeological dig of a 1620s settlement, where matching pieces of potshards were discovered at great distances from each other, suggesting that if a pot was broken, residents might have been in the habit of reusing the pieces for other purposes. Social history is notoriously hard to reconstruct, since people of the time rarely thought the details of their daily lives important enough to document.

Waste not, but now wanting almost results in it just to make room. The extent of research is impressive. And the presentation is expressive, not just factual. A great book that gives us a perspective of the past, and by juxtaposition, a penetratinglook at what the present means re. Our values and our environment.

I read this book for research because i wanted to know what people used to do with trash (or what we now call trash). If you’re interested in the answer, this is a good book to read. It discusses in detail what people used to do in the 1800’s (and before) with old clothing, food scraps, cooking fats, worn or broken items, etc. , and how and why that changed over time up until the present.

Why we waste and what we can do about it. Anyone looking to understand why we waste in our current day and age need look no further than this exceptionally well researched and written social history of trash. Totally captivating to me who admittedly hates to waste, but i’m sure of interest to a broad swath of consumers who enjoy history and insights into our modern lifestyles. I garnered many insights for wehatetowaste. Com, a global community that i manage, about what worked in the past and why to incentivize people to reduce waste or to collect it for economic purposes, and how these same strategies might be updated for the future.

A really interesting read that explains how we got to where we are today with regards to our trash. It was fascinating to learn how industrialisation has changed how we relate to trash.

I liked the first chapter about reworking clothing to extend its life. It was fascinating to think of women doing all of this work by hand. Each chapter got longer and more bogged down with endless and repetitive details. Clearly the author did a massive amount of research, but why wasn’t it edited?. It wasn’t quite scholarly, but it had way too much dry factual information to be entertaining.

MetroDécor mDesign Plastic Wastebasket Trash Can – 10″, nice quality for the price

I is smaller than i thought but i could use it so i kept it, but is good for small spaces.

I use it for my coffee cart for trashing the keurig pods. It would be great for many things.

I was looking for a small bin and this fit the bill. Make sure to note the dimensions–this is smaller than your average garbage can, so don’t be surprised. I’m using it to store miscellaneous items.

These are sleek and fit where some trash cans wouldn’t but too small for a bathroom trash can if you have a family and use it as a primary trash can on your bedroom-floor.

Slim, easy to clean, fits snuggly by our living room couch. I got the navy to go with our nautical decor.

Product covers the grill well and really looks very complimentary. One problem is the velcro straps are too short and only one side can be connected. The other side must flop in the wind . I may need to use some twine or something to snug it up around the grill.

I have some food waste, but mostly bathroom towel and office waste. I have some food waste, but mostly bathroom towel and office waste. This works perfect for what i need, i have had it tear a small amount with really sharp edges, but i have not had any ‘blowouts’.

The waste company employee’s did not pick up my yard waste because they do not pick up waste in plastic bags. I assumed the green color indicated bio degradable bags and would be acceptable for yard waste pick up. The bags held up well when loading sticks and.

I have always bought ‘brand’ names when purchasing plastic bags, just to be sure i didn’t wind up with my trash breaking through a hole in the side and spilling all over my kitchen. With prices for the ‘brand’ bags getting more and more outrageous, i decided to take a ‘leap of faith’ and try these out. I have been pleasantly surprised with their durability, and i especially like the fact that they are ecodegradable.

My trash company had an article in the. My trash company had an article in the monthly newsletter and were asking customers, if possible, to begin using ecodegradable bags to help the environment and these are perfect.

The bags were great, but the city refused to pick them up because that thought they were plastic.

The bag for the environment. I love using recyclable for my recycling.

These bags don’t stretch at all. You do have to take care when using these bags. I like using them because i like the planet and i don’t care if i am only one home out of how many in the world. So yes buy these and help save the planet. Just make sure you use care when putting items in this bag and you should be fine.

Strong, had approximately 50 – 60 lbs in one and walked several blocks to the dumpster with it. Soothes the conscience to know the bags won’t spend eternity in a landfill. The plastic that the stout bag is filled with is another story.

‘yes’, good quality, good price. They are a light green, look clean and they are ‘big’ so we don’t have to over stuff the garbage bag. My husband says i finally bought a garbage that didn’t tear and break the piggy bank. Good buy, money well spent in this instance.

That’s the main thing you want.

I wish it had a handle to tighten the bag.

Perfect and just what i needed for recycling items.

Big sturdy bag – not eligible in houston. After bagging up 36 of these i was loving the durability that is usually missing from biodegradable bags. Sadly, the city of houston just put a sticker on each one saying they don’t take petroleum based bags. These aren’t, but they didn’t have the city approved logo on them either.

The local waste management company wanted $50 for 50 similar bags. The local waste management company wanted $50 for 50 similar bags. They hold leaves well, and small bush cuttings without breaking.

Once you get the bag opened, it is okay. Once you get the bag opened, it is okay. It is a little difficult to tell which end opens when you first get a bag off the roll making using them more time consuming than necessary.

‘yes’, good quality, good price. They are a light green, look clean and they are ‘big’ so we don’t have to over stuff the garbage bag. My husband says i finally bought a garbage that didn’t tear and break the piggy bank. Good buy, money well spent in this instance.

These hold up just like any heavy duty bag. These hold up just like any heavy duty bag. Have used them for kitchen garbage and recyclables. They do biodegrade so we don’t recommend them for storing things.

Once you get the bag opened, it is okay. Once you get the bag opened, it is okay. It is a little difficult to tell which end opens when you first get a bag off the roll making using them more time consuming than necessary.

Glad Strong Quick-Tie Large Trash Bags – 30 Gallon – 21 Count : I like brand name trash bags- so was pleased to find

We bought this cool self-opening trash can at costco and could only find these tissue paper thin bags to use with it. They tore easily and were a pain to use. These bags are much tuffer than the ones we were using.

These are my favorite trash bags.

Great item for price and quality. Item was just as expected at a great price. Received in excellent condition, and just as promised.

Big trash bags holds a lot can’t go wrong.

I have used this style of trash bags for years. I like them because i can stuff a lot in one and it doesn’t break or split. Tying the flaps is no problem.

Glad Strong Quick-Tie Large Trash Bags – 30 Gallon – 21 Count : It’s difficult to find these in a brick and mortar store. Most stores only carry the drawstring style which is more difficult to use and doesn’t secure the bag closed as well as this design.

You need a $35 order and will need trash bags eventually. Who remembers what they cost at the store anyway if you even remember to buy them.

Good for household items but nothing else, rip very easily.

What can you say about trash bags, they hold trash. Normally use the kitchen size, but plan on some serious get rid of stuff, so need the big guys.

Needed trashbags in a pinch when i was in the process of moving and couldn’t get to the store. So, i know i probably over paid, but when you need garbage bags you need garbage bags.

Okay bag but loud unwanted scent. Two stars because they do hold trash. No more than that because they have an icky perfumed smell and they are not described as scented. I have asthma and need to know when products are scented. They are a bit thin and skimpy but that doesn’t really bother me. It should be described as such on the box. I’ve added one star to the original review as glad acted quickly to refund my payment. However, i’d still (as my comment below indicates) like to be able to tell a glad scent-free bag from a perfumed one by the box labeling.

I love them because i can stuff a lot in one and it doesn’t break or tear.

Nice large size and the for the price it’s great. Strong enough for household trash and easily fits in my trash can.

Very strong bags really works good.

As expected, delivered quickly and these are so much better than bargain brands.

Happy to find a more eco-friendly option. I was happily surprised that hefty had an eco-friendlier option for trash bags. It is good to see a major company take some initiative in this area. 65% percent recycled material is great. They could be a bit stronger, but i often have heavy trash. For most households, these bags would work well.

Fits my kitchen garbage can perfectly, unlike many i have tried before. It seems slightly bigger than most white trash bags (this is a light gray color). Holds up very well – no breakage or leakage. I will definitely buy again.

Sturdier than most recycled trash bags.

I really wanted to like these, but we have had multiple problems with holes that we have not experienced with the regular hefty bags. They also have an odd odor to them.

Great bags for taking out the trash or for any other purpose. Heavy duty bags that are hard to rip.

They fit perfectly in our garbage can. These are study for being made out of recycled plastic. They fit perfectly in our garbage can.

BestOffice Touch Free Sensor Automatic Lid Stainless Steel 13-Gallon Kitchen Indoor Home Decor – My wife told me it was the best thing I bought on line

Love, love, love this trash can. It uses ‘d’ size batteries and some reviews stated they did not last long. I have been 3 months using the first batteries i put in, so i am happy.

Very cool and quality trash can. My family loves this trash can. Came quickly and works well. Also seems to hold more trash than our old 13 gallon, possibly due to the shape. Great product at a great price and it’s less expensive than other places on the internet.

Opens and closes perfect each time and a 13 gal. Trash bag fits the interior perfectly. A really great device and a great price. You won’t find a better unit even at a more expensive price.

  • Good trashcan good size almost perfect.
  • Scotty, I need more power!
  • Great idea but it’s a huge pain to change the

With new batteries this worked well upon arrival. I think the people who had problems with the top not fitting simply didn’t read the instructions. After a few weeks the sensor seemed to lose sensitivity so, instead of buying more batteries, i connected a switching power supply that produces a number of voltage outputs. I tested the power supply and found that it indeed output a steady 6v. The sensor sensitivity didn’t get any better. After a week of waiting for the lid to notice me, i decided to pump 7. Works just like it did with new batteries.

Good trashcan good size almost perfect. . It works properly as it should there’s nothing wrong with the design nor the size. It’s just what was expected. My reasoning for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the trash can needs huge batteries to run it and does not come with the power adapter. But the delivery was amazing it said it would take 1 to 3 week it came in 2 days.

Tough Bag Products ToughBag : What I expected from recycling bags

Love the product and the quantity. This is at least twice as cheap as any product i could buy in grocery stores. Many times my local stores are out of stock. This is close to a years supply. Love the product and the quantity.

What i expected from recycling bags. These are exactly what i wanted. However, i wish it came in a roll rather than folded in a box. Not convenient for storage nd quickly grabbing bag and going.

Wanted blue bags, got clear ones. ‘blue’ bags (which i need for recycling items for new trash company at my apartment complex) were not ‘blue. I can use them, but the blue ones are recommended to flag the difference between trash and recycle.

I got them to use as liners for my large cat litter boxes and could not be happier with a choice.

The bags r great and very big. The bags r great and very big, but he they do the come in a box or anything besides the amazon delivery box they r shipped in.

I didn’t like bringing the recycle back into my kitchen after sitting outside. Now i don’t have to worry about that i can just toss the entire bag.

Would have like it better had they not come in a big. Would have like it better had they not come in a big box so as they got used, they sort of come out and go everywhere, they aren’t in a roll. Don’t think i’ll go with these again just because of limited storage for all my different size bags.

Yes i can confirm they are tougher ( at least than the one i get from homedepot).

These seem to be one of the few bags that will fit in the rubbermaid 16 gallon slim jim trash can.

Product was as advertised and arrived in a timely manner.

Great, but not easily dispensed. I mean they don’t come out of the box like you would want them to 🙄. Not a big deal but would give 5 stars for a great product if i didn’t have to wrestle to get each bag out.
