Tierra Garden GP98 Odor Free Compost Caddy, This really is odor-free!

Surprisingly good at containing smell & fruit flies. I like this better than i expected to. The one i ordered from amazon didn’t ship with a lid. When i contacted them about it, they were (as usual) quick to respond and make it right. I also found a mini size locally and purchased that. The same lid works for the mini and midi size. The lid does not fit snugly and that concerned me. However, i’ve had it full on the counter or under the sink with no smell for up to a week. The fruit flies will proliferate inside if you leave it full – they hitched a ride on the fruit/vegetables, but i haven’t noticed an increase in the annoying bugs in my house. When i emptied it, i did have to scrub the inside of the container to get rid of all the eggs they laid, but i was going to do that anyway.

This compost caddy gets rave reviews from me. I’ve had it for a month now, and it does exactly what it says — it stores produce odor free until i’m ready to take it out to the compost pile. I leave it on my kitchen counter — there’s no smell, the filter really works, and we’ve had no problem with fruit flies. I try to empty it every week, but i’ve gone two weeks without a problem. Very pleased with this product.

Aesthetics is the only thing keeping this from 5 stars. . I bought this a year and a half ago and it works just great. Looks a little clunky in the corner next to the trash can, but a small price to pay for being green. The lid keeps odors in extremely well. Even after letting it fill up for 2 and a half weeks, there was no odor in my house from it, though i nearly choked when i emptied it out. Definitely worth the money and when it breaks, i’ll buy another just like it.

“Nice, basic compost transport, Hardworking Compost Caddy, Good little compost bucket”

This product is not as cute as many other indoor compost holders; however, it is affordable and it works. It keeps the smell inside and keeps bugs and other stuff out. It is large enough to hold a lot of scraps so that you don’t have to go to your compost bin every day. Great for hiding under the sink.

If you compost a lot then this is for you. Love the large/ tall size as it holds a lot (we eat a lot of fruit and vegetables). It’s easy to clean (in between trips to the compost pit) and does the job for us. The food flies are inevitable, and as long as you empty it often, it’s not a mess. The fact that it’s not porcelain (it’s plastic, but not cheap or flimsy), it doesn’t get heavy when we have to empty it. It has a simple, clean design so looks pretty nice on the counter top.

We’ve tried lots of ways to deal with getting compost from the kitchen, to our compost hole about 20 yards from the house, among the trees. (i had an expensive rotating kind of set-up for a time, but have found over a couple of years that a simple hole in the ground, covered over with dirt when it gets full, yields excellent soil in just a few months). But there’s still the problem: how do you save up the organic kitchen waste, until there’s enough to make the trek to the compost pile?.We’ve had a small step-on-to-open-lid metal canister that matched our larger kitchen can. However, to be frank, that smelled bad and grew fruit flies (and maggots). In addition, the inner plastic bucket gets gunked up. Let’s face it, ‘making’ soil can be a messy business. But we have an entire organic veggie garden and orchard.

Nice, basic compost transport. I have had one of these for over two years, and i find it to be an excellent, basic device for collecting scraps before taking them to my composter, which is many yards away in my back yard. It holds a lot in case the weather is inclement or if the composter is under a few feet of snow and i have to wait. The drawback is, of course, the obvious: there’s a smell, but only for the few moments it’s open. It contains said odor very well though it lacks the fancy carbon filter and liner of the many, more expensive and heavier devices. I recommend it highly because it does keep odor inside, it was inexpensive to buy, and it’s tough. The handle and lid are lasting well, with no cracking or leaks. If you have a boatload of cash to spend on a scrap container that will look pretty on your counter, this is probably not what you’re looking for. But i’m really glad to have it. It’s a valuable under the sink device.

This is a great light-weight caddy for those kitchen scraps that are intended for the mulch bin. The filter keeps the unpleasant odor inside the caddy. The caddy can hold several days’ worth of scraps, depending on the size of your family and how many fruits and veggies you are eating.I like to rinse it out after emptying it and then pouring the ‘mulch juice’ on my plants.

This is the third time i have purchased this bucket. The size is perfect for me, i do not like having to dump every other day. I don’t need a filter, i feel like that is a rip-off – keep the lid on. My only complaint is that each one last about 2 years and then it will crack, but i’ve searched and searched for other products and always come back to this one. For the price and the size, nothing compares.

Great for weekly composting needs. I just jumped on the organic bandwagon, and decided to start my own compost this small compost helps with my family’s weekly composting needs. We use it almost daily, and then dump it outside weekly into our larger compost. I was worried about having an odor in the house, but the filter (which is provided) holds the odor inside of the caddy. It’s size is great for storing under your sink. I have not had any problems with insects. I also think that it is fairly priced.

Compost bin is exactly as advertised. I’ve had kitchen scraps in it for over two weeks without an odor. My only suggestion would be a hinged lid. But then it would probably sell for a higher price. All in all i am extremely satisfied with this product.

Great solution for the money. This is perfect for keeping kitchen scraps for compost when the bucket would have to be emptied daily (as with a large family). Keeps away flies and smell, but not good for long term (3 or more days) storage of scraps. Perfect tool for the money paid.

Big, nonstick, light-weight and sturdy. . This is the best compost bucketpros:1) at 2. 4 gallons, it holds all our compostables for a whole day or even more. We have a big year-round garden, so that’s a *lot*. When we’re processing tomatoes or whatever, we use a five-gallon bucket and fill it up, but on a day-to-day basis this is more than adequate. 2) the inside surface feels slick to the touch, and so far (roughly a month) the compost actually slides right out. Much better than ice cream buckets (or nail buckets). Plus, the conic-section shape of the sides makes emptying very easy – gravity helps. And, of course, because the bucket itself is so light, it’s easy to swing up to tip the compost out. 3) the bail handle swings freely and is securely attached.

I was looking for a compost bin that was larger than the one i had which was the traditional round stainless steel bin. We had to empty that bin every other day. This caddy is larger and we empty it about every 3-4 days. The reviews i read before purchasing this seemed to have complaints about the odor. I have a very sensitive nose and can smell things before anyone else and i haven’t noticed any odor when the lid is on properly. If you leave the lid askew, then yes there will be odors. The lid is very easy to lift off and put back on. If they made this bigger, i would purchase it. The only reason i didn’t give it 5 stars is because it is plastic.

Was surprised to receive so quick and it was larger than expected. Even better with a house of 6 and lots of veggies we are very pleased.

This kitchen compost caddy is a great purchase. It is big enough (bigger then many of the other compost caddies available) to hold a weeks worth of scraps and odours do not escape at all. The carbon filters work well, and are easy to replace. Each filter should last a couple of months and are easily washed if anything gets onto them. This compost caddy is easily washed after emptying.

This is a very nice compost caddy. It holds lots of kitchen scraps, and is easy to transport to the compost bin. If i could improve it at all, it would be to add a sturdier handle. It’s handle seems a little flimsy, but with careful handling, i think it will last for quite some time. I like the odor-control filters, as well. I’m finding that as long as the lid is on securely, there’s no smell.

Would love to give this 5 stars. Received it in december and absolutely fell in love with it. My husband took it this morning to the outside compost to empty it. Tapped it on the bottom to empty it and the side cracked. . Came right from a warm kitchen to the pile. I won’t be reordering this one.

This a good basic bucket for under your sink. Sturdy plastic with good handle. I bought this bucket 4 years ago and it held up well until being dropped on concrete driveway. I am replacing it with the same exact pail.

Received this a few days ago. Nice, large size to fit a lot of scraps. Only slight disappointment is the lid – it screws on and off slightly which is a bit of a pain when i have a handful of materials in one hand and have to awkwardly screw off lid with other – would prefer more of a snap on or heavier lid that sits on top to still keep out odors. Great size and seems sturdy enough to carry out to backyard compost bin.

iTouchless Fully Automatic Stainless Steel Touchless Trashcan NX, Nothing better then this stainless steel trash can.

Nothing better then this stainless steel trash can. . This is our second itouchless stainless steel trash can. I recommend the transformer rather then batteries if electric is near by. This size holds a 13 gallon plastic kitchen bag. The vents allow you to easily remove the plastic trash bag. Watch the expression on your friends face when they go to open the garbage can and it up pops open by itself. Don’t be surprised if they throw things out a few times. It’s extremely easy to use when you have your hands full, automatically open and closing.

We had another one of these for years and finally broke the top. I ordered this he same day to replace the old one. This one is actually better because it has wheels. Also ordered the power adaptor this time so no batteries to deal with. Everyone in my family and our guests love this trash can and we wouldn’t be without it.

It works great, i use the ac adapter because its close to an outlet, this is my second one. My housekeeper broke the first one because she couldn’t figure out how to work it.

“Somewhat short “lifespan” but my family insists I keep buying these!, Not my idea of a big deal., Nothing better then this stainless steel trash can.”

Great large and fun trash can. I mean – really – a fun trash can?.The kids love to throw trash away and it’s large enough the trash only has to be carried to the curb can once a week. I got this as a novelty birthday gift for my son and it was perfect for him and his kids.

Somewhat short ‘lifespan’ but my family insists i keep buying these. I have purchased 4 different sizes of itouchless cans in the last 6 years. The 1- and 8-gallon sizes are still going strong since they get less use, but results have been less than stellar for the larger models that we have used for the kitchen. My original 18-gallon model worked fine for about a year and a half, after which the gear for the raising mechanism broke (as many reviewers have noted). I went ahead and paid the $40 to buy a replacement lid and that kept going for about another year and a half. I upgraded to the larger 23–gallon model at that point and haven’t had any issues (only 12 months going at this point). I like the really large capacity of the 23-gallon model; with 2 adults and 2 kids we generate a lot of kitchen trash, apparently. I haven’t had any rust issues with any of the units i have purchased, even though occasionally something does get spilled inside. The fact that it rolls on casters makes it convenient to push out of the way for cleaning the floor. All in all, i like the functionality of the can.

This looks fabulous in my kitchen. The product worked great, until recently. I spilled some liquid on the top of the trash can and now the motion sensor is not working properly. However, the open and close button is still working. I am going to give it a few days and see if it will fix itself. The customer service was very nice.

Won’t trash this trashcan though problems existed. This was great at first but after a few months, the cover to the compartment that held the batteries fell out for no apparent reason, and the plastic part that held it in broke so that it could no longer hold in the batteries. It was past the point where it could be returned. While it was working, it was great. Now this may have been a quirk in this particular trash can–a lemon amongst other good and long-lasting products, so i’m not really willing to ‘trash’ the product. I did replace it, however, with another sensor trash can that was square in shape and i find that it’s so much easier to get my trash and dustpan contents into than a round can. That was really my only problem with it–the round opening was difficult to manage when putting certain things into it. You may have better luck with it than i had. I just think it was a lemon and my needs weren’t a match for its features.

So far, this unit performs as expected. Its a little tall for 13 gal bags, but i just put some of the styrofoam packing material in the bottom and it works fine. I guess they didn’t listen to complaints about the sticker on the front, because it is still impossible to remove. The sensor on this one is supposed to be redesigned and better, but i have nothing to compare it to. I’ll be shocked if the lid mechanism lasts more than 6 months. I’ll refresh this review in 6 mos if i can remember*updated july 2009*the lid on this cracked and stopped working about a year in – but to be fair, i dropped the top heavy lid unit on the floor. The only other real complaint i have is that there are alot of catch points in the can that can make it tough to remove the bag. Depending on whats in it, you have to take it slow and wiggle it out to avoid ripping the bag.

We love the itouchless line. We love the itouchless line, the ability to use a power cord instead of batteries is an amazing bonus. The size of this can is large enough for our big messy family but not to large to still look nice in our kitchen.

It’s a big can that easily holds gallon sized bottles and larger household trash. The panel is less prone to collecting dirt and crud like the buttons on my last infrared trash can. Update-it is now 3 months later and the thing has stopped working. My last can worked for 3 years, i’m livid.

My family purchased the nx 23 gallon model over 4 years ago. When we got it, our 2 boys were 3 years old. It made it through quite a bit of abuse by them. We have absolutely loved the convenience and the tech geek conversation it starts up when we have guests. Just recently, the gear mechanism in the lid snapped and it no longer will open. We have been pleased enough with it overall to purchase a new lid mechanism from itouchless (about $70). Hopefully, it will last another 4 years or more.

Not my idea of a big deal. . I put this trashcan in the middle, 3-star, rating because my opinion cannot go lower or higher. When my wife informed me that she was getting this high-tech trashcan, i tried to tell her it sounded like a bunch of over-priced brew-ha-ha. Well, the trashcan arrived, so specific to the trashcan here is my feedback. It has four (4) roller wheels that have to be pushed into the bottom molding of the can itself. I found these wheels to be very sturdy because i had to damn near stand on them to get them to slide into the pre-punched holes. Once in, i am confident these wheels are not coming out. The can works on d size batteries or with an ac adapter (sold separately :)) but the instructions clearly state not to use both simultaneously. I felt like that was just a little bit more than i wanted to remember about a trashcan. Installing the plastic bags requires using a bag holding ‘ring’ that comes with the can.

I originally purchased the previous model of this trashcan years ago. Eventually the automatic open mechanism started to fail. I was able to fix it at first by redoing the solder joints which connected wires to the circuit board. That made it last a few more years longer until finally it would refuse to close the lid. Push the close button, and bam. Tired of being mocked by a rebellious garbage can, i decided to purchase this model for a replacement. Itouchless didn’t sell replacement parts for the older model.

I wish i would have bought this years ago. I stayed with my sister in atlanta and she had one. This is totally hands free(you can touch a button to open if you want to). This is so great for mutliple reasons. First bieng germs and second who wants to tiuch a trasdh can?.She uses batteries but i spent 14 dollars and bought the ac adaptor.

Ok, so it works as people have described it. Here are 2 things to consider from an ease of use perspective. Most people use 13 gallon bags, this can is 12 gallon. However, that doesn’t mean that a normal trash bag doesn’t fit in it, it fits well enough, as a matter of fact, the can is longer than the length of standard bags. This is a problem because the bag sags down when trash is put into it. There is a metal ring that you are supposed to use when fitting the trash bag ‘inside’ the can, i guess the idea is that the trash bag doesn’t show from the outside. Using this metal ring is a pain, if takes a lot of fiddling to put a trash bag into the can and more fiddling to take it out.

Nice size and sleek trashcan. The only issue would be the electric lid, poor design and the lid sometimes doesn’t work and noisy. The automatic lid needs improvement, the sensors are cheap as well.

Worm Factory DS5BT 5-Tray Worm Composter, I am in love with my worms!

Just buy it, well worth the money. I tried to ‘pinterest’ a cheaper worm factory and it is nothing compared to this one. While they are expensive, at least for my budget it was well worth the price. Very sturdy construction, it came on time, and while i don not think it will ever need to replace it, because it is so well built, i would buy again in a heartbeat, i will be buying more shelves for this factory as my worms begin to make more soil for my plants. Very happy with this purchase.

This is my first time with a vermicomposter. I got it started around thanksgiving and it’s now around new year’s. I am now working on my second tray. I was very pleased that there is no noticeable odor when the lid is on. I have a very sensitive nose, and have no problem keeping my worms in the kitchen. (fair warning, though – when you open the bottom collection tray, the liquid and castings will smell pretty gross, but the odor doesn’t linger once you close it again. )i found this system very easy to set up. The instructions with the kit were clear, though i also bought a book for more information. The trays are a good size, so they hold a lot but are still easy to handle when full.

This compost bin is great for starters but the bin has its flaws. This compost bin is great for starters but the bin has its flaws. I love the clear instructions and starter kit. The instructions guide covers so much details, even on making a heater for the worms and good and bad insects in the compost bin. The feet of composter look filmsy especially if all five trays are full. And there isn’t a screen above the leachate collection tray, so worms and compost particles can fall in regularly to clot the leachate spigot.

“composting fool super happy with my worms, I am in love with my worms!, this might not be the best product. I have done worm composting in the “

Do not purchase this if you live in az and plan to leave in the garage. . I would not recommend this product for inexperienced worm farmers, like me, particularly living in southern arizona. My rating is a one star, but place a 3 because it probably will work in other states. What i learned:the worms like to go down when they are distressed and come up when they need food. Going down is ok, if they could go back up. This model doesn’t have any mechanism for them to do so from the very bottom (the tray that has the spigot). The lid and trays do not sit snugly on the edges. Additionally, if you leave the spigot open like you are supposed to, they can crawl through it as well. This information was not listed anywhere i researched.

I have it in the corner of my kitchen, & i don’t think it is unclean in any way. In the past, i tried to raise worms in a plastic bin, & in a plastic ‘chest of drawers’ but neither was without problems. They either lacked air circulation or dried out too much, & i had very few worms. The worm factory eliminates these issues. It stays moist, & i have many more worms than before. It is easy to lift the lid & throw in a hand-full of fruit & vege. The only negative is that the spout on the bottom does not work.

I have been using this since summer of 2015. I also bought a tumbling compost bin from home depot at the same time, and the worm factory does a much better job of making compost. . The stuff i put in the tumbling composter still hasn’t broken down six months later.I have 5 fruit trees in my garden, three that were planted a few years ago and haven’t born any fruit. I put a bunch of my vermicompost on a new tangerine tree that i planted. And even though its barely up to my knee, it has 15 fruits on it. I’m totally convinced that it has to do with the worm factory compost. I’m buying a second one to keep up with my kitchen scraps ; ).

And i do not closely follow them, and the worms are still alive and doing what they are supposed to do.

I received the worm factory in the mail and could not wait to put it together. The instructions were very helpful and simple. I think it took me about 30 minutes total to read the materials, assemble the factory, and create the bedding. One thing they do not tell you when creating the bedding is to make sure you rehydrate the coir in a large container because you will be adding soil and the bedding mixture to it. And you want enough space to mix it properly. Unfortunately, i bought some worms from a local farm and was not happy. I paid more than i should have for 200 worms to start because i thought supporting a local nursery was worth the extra cost. After further research, i realized that i did not get the right type of worms, and certainly did not get 200. I recently bought more worms through a different website, and i am waiting for them to arrive in the mail.

This is my first experience with worm farming. I have had it approximately 6 months and already have emptied one tray of dirt. These little guys really are ferocious eaters. This stackable unit is easy to put together, and easy to use, i dump scraps in each day, when one tray gets full, you stack on another one. And the worms move up and down between trays as they want, i check the bottom tray every couple of weeks and when it is dirt, i put it in my vegitable garden and set the tray aside to use on top again when needed. At first everything went smoothly, but then i noticed some knats are around the top. I think it is me though, the directions say to add approx. 1/2 cup of scraps per day, and i know i am adding much more than that now that i am juicing every day. So i think i am overfeeding the little guys.

I have been composting with red wiggler worms for over 10 years. I previously used a system of rubbermaid bins with drainage holes drilled in the bottom, perched on top of dish pans to house my worms and compost. Separating the usable compost form worms and unprocessed materials has always been a daunting task. I recently purchased a worm factory ds5tt 5-tray worm composter and was amazed at how easy it was to assemble and begin using. I have already added trays to the initial layer and my wigglers are migrating up to the new level. The instruction bokklet is full of composting information and ideas-very useful, even to a seasoned composter like me. The composter arrived quickly and in perfect condition. It took only moments to set it up and move my worms into their new home. The composter is well contained and the area around it, in my garage, is clean and neat.

Great idea to start composting. So i bought this cause i have a big tote that i was using and it was taking a long time for the worms to break everything down. I start a year ago with 200 worms and now have about 800 t maybe 1000. So going to use this kit to help speed things up and then when i have for sure 2k worms then go back to the huge heavy tote. Anyone who is starting a worm farm just buy this or something like it. They say you need 1k worms to start with but you dont. . These things have babies every 2 weeks. If you buy alot the faster they eat and sooner you may have to expand. The key really is to blend the food before puting in the composter the worms eat much faster. (we eat alot of fruit and vegetables ).

3 star product w/5 star benefits. . I was sold on the idea of worms helping me compost. My compost pile gets larger and larger each season and i was hoping to find a way to significantly start moving the pile back to the garden. I believed the worms would take care of some of the kitchen & garden scraps. What i was unaware of until months after purchasing my bins is that two pots of recycled coffee grounds, two dozen egg shells, and the potato skins from one week (two meals, feeding three) ground up and kept in a worm feeding (coffee) can was enough to feed my 2lbs (five bins) of worms for 4 months. The good:worms seem to thrive in the bins, unless you let them get too hot or overfeed them. Bottom bin of worm casting is great fertilizer mixing for gardening soil. Worm tea is an excellent garden feeder. It’s good home for shredded junk mail (worms chow harder on it than the compost). Lots of baby worms, so there is no need to buy new worms and really nothing else needed to be purchased after bins.

Good idea but beware of flies. . I’ve used my work factory for about a month now and my worms are happy but i seem to be making food waste faster than they can break it down. I’ve started freezing the food to compost until i can add a new tray. I hope in the next few months the worms will grow and multiply so i dont end up with more frozen food that i cant eat. Oh and the way i was able to get rid of the flies was to use all of the trays even though they were empty. I put paper on the bottoms of each and stacked them up so the fruit flies had a hard time to find the rotting foods. No more flies, even in the heat.

When the box first arrived in february i was both excited and nervous. I was finally becoming a composter. Beginning with one tray, i was able to use the coir and shredded newspaper i received. The coir looks really damn cool, watch it come alive as it takes on water. It looks like dirt, but it’s all coconut. Several people wrote about a smell. I have not experienced foul smells nor fruit flies. (just keep the layers damp, not soaking wet and check the trays about once a week) the worms are eating away at the fruit and veggie scraps i have. I keep adding to a plastic box in my fridge as i cut, peel and amd ready to discard. I can’t wait to add another tray this week.

I was originally using a plastic bin with drain holes to house my worms. The bi-annual sortings were a horror. Sifting through a gloopy mess of worms, compost, and undigested food, all of which reeked, was making me reconsider the whole worm thing. This tray composter solved all of that. No sorting, instant access to the ‘worm tea,’ and easy-to-remove trays have made keeping worms super simple. My recommendation is to keep the spigot valve always in the open position and put a catch contain below it. Maybe i just have juicy worms, but the first few times i opened it up, it gushed out and i worried about flooding the lower level.

I have been worm composting for years and bought this item when my old composter broke. In general it is a good system, with excellent introductory materials included. The booklet especially gives information about worm life cycles and appropriate nutrition. Four stars for the lid, which is simply a square of plastic with a knob on the top. It does not fit snugly and will allow both flies and rain to get into the composter unless modified. Also ordered the green one and received the terra cotta, although color is not important to me.

Nature’s Head Dry Composting Toilet : who needs a septic in the country

It’s light weight, quick and easy to use, and composts well in my art studio. I didn’t want to go inside the house to use the facilities when i covered in my art process. This is a perfect alternative out in my studio.

Installed it this week at our farm. Installed it this week at our farm. Eliminated the need for a septic system or a ‘homey wagon’ for our small ‘week-ender’ travel trailer.

While all the previous reviews are covering everything i would like to give some additional info. If you live in a rural, really cold part of the country without a septic system your ‘relief’ choices are pretty much limited. It’s either an outhouse or a honey bucket and both of them are more or less unpleasant. The readers who have to use them know what i mean. Now with colder temps there is not much of composting/dehydrating going on and therefore the nature’s head ‘compost bin’ has to be emptied sooner. For two full time users likely within a week at temps between minus 20f and plus 20f. However, it will look and smell like potting soil and can just be dumped into the fire barrel with the other burnable garbage. It won’t smell during burning either. I don’t compost so i can’t comment on the duration for that option.

This product had so many good reviews that i was really looking forward to having it as a spare toilet ( for emergency use) for road trips. When it arrived, i noticed the top of it is really heavy and is not detachable. I tried to turn it over to see what it would be like to empty it and it was really awkward to control the heavy swinging lid/seat combo. It would be so much harder to handle when loaded. Emptying it would be definitely a man’s job. The hinges on mine were defective( it looked as though someone had tried to remove the lid/seat combo). Otherwise the plastic structure was sturdy. My fan did not have any plug in, just wires. I would need my husband(who has taken a basic electrical course, to install it. I did not use so i cannot describe anything else about it. It seems expensive for what you get. I returned it and had to pay a lot of money for sending it back.

Excellent product, highly recommended. I installed this product in a sailboat to replace a holding tank system that had a chronic odor problem. I could not be more happy with the purchase. Recently i had two back to back multiple day sails with 7 men aboard each time. That’s a lot of ‘material’ to process in a short period of time. On heavy use mornings there would be some odor that would linger but it would mostly disapate in a few hours. Two days later i opened the head up to check out the composting process and even when i got my nose up close and personal, all i could smell was the earthy odor of a forest floor. There was no trace of the original ‘deposits’ other than a few traces of composting toilet paper. What i find remarkable is the speed of the composting process.

Nature’s Head Dry Composting Toilet with Standard Crank Handle : So far so good-no odor, easy to use.

Well made and although i haven’t had a chance to use it very much seems to be working properly. It is far superior to the fiberglass versions i have purchased in the past. Only complaint was that i had ordered it with the spider handle and it was shipped with the standard one.

No smell as of yet, so it is working as advertised, if you follow the directions.

Who needs a septic in the country. I was gonna put in a septic system then found out what it would cost,i will be getting a second one for our cabin this year, way better than spending 10 grand, plus we don`t have running water anyway, that would be another 5 grand for a well.

I have bought 2 for my 2 guest spots. They are amazing and good for the environmenti highly recommend these toilets. They are pricey but they will pay for themselves.

Fan is getting juice but refuses to spin. Haven’t located where to contact seller so trying the review to reach them. After replacement of fan, will update this reviewupdate:nature’s head sent me two replacement fans right after the previous review. I have a couple full reviews on youtube under ‘texas tramper’ for anyone that wants the real nitty gritty of this toilet. But, suffice it to say, after using it for a couple months, my parents (72 & 73) have now decided to purchase a nature’s head for their 5th wheel.

We’ve had this in our rental cabin for over 5 years and never a problem.

Highly recommended by my whole family. My family recently decided to live ‘off grid’ and this dry composting toilet by nature’s head has been great.Cannot say enough to promote this. We use it full time and it works amazingly.

By the time the run was over i hated the thing. I lived with a sunmar ne for nearly two decades. By the time the run was over i hated the thing. This one is great as i live alone. Cleaning is easy enough (ten days to two weeks for one person using it constantly) and the urine collection system needs only a hand grip at the bottom of the bottle to aid in draining it – which happens every other day. Cleaning is a matter of a simple removal of the seat unit and the urine bottle (part of the design, it’s easy) and placing a garbage bag over the top, inverting the box into the bag and shaking slightly. Turning it right side up, replacing the box, seat unit and bottle, adding more sphagnum or coir. The smell is slightly musty like soil. Urine doesn’t smell if there is white vinegar added to the bottle after rinsing.

I really like it, haven’t hat it long but it works. I really like it, haven’t hat it long but it works as advertised and best of all there is no odor.

We replaced our rv toilet with the nature’s head composting toilet. By doing this, we eliminated the need for using our black-water holding tanks. With a family of 2 adults and 6 children, we need to change the urine probably daily, and the solid matter every week.

Great toilet and great service. I purchased this toilet 5 years ago (1/22/2012), it has worked great in our cabin in the mountains since day one. A quick and easy install, easy to operate and maintain. We run the exhaust fan 24/7 off a set of 12 volt batteries, that also powers our 12 volt water pump, there is a 50 watt solar panel attached to keep the batteries charged. After almost 5 years of use, the fan stopped working, not expecting much i contacted the seller about getting a part number for another fan, jim requested my address to send me a new fan. Expecting that it might take awhile or he would just drop a fan in an envelope i was surprised when i came home 3 days later and found a priority box in the mail box with 2 new fans in it. The customer service before the sale, he answered every question we had, and the customer service after all this time has been excellent. Visitors to our cabin always ask about the toilet and we always tell them where to get it.

We decided on this nature’s head unit and are very happy with our purchase. We purchased this toilet for use camping and living in the country without power or water for a period of time during a recent move. After doing extensive compost toilet research, we decided on this nature’s head unit and are very happy with our purchase. The toilet is well thought out, is heavy duty and does not feel like it will tip over easily once secured correctly in its place of use. The best thing about this toilet is the fact that the smell is minimal if the liquid waste is truly kept separate from the solid waste. The liquid waste container comes out of the unit easily for disposal and is heavy duty and easy to wash out. Our first emptying experience for the solid waste was stinky, but we were able to clean out the waste easily – we buried our waste in a deep hole we dug on our property outdoors – and set the unit back up with fresh peat moss, ready to use again promptly. Yes, you probably can simply empty the solid waste into a plastic garbage bag and dispose of it in your regular trash but we preferred to dispose of the waste as true compost, which will not harm the soil if disposed of properly. It is not advisable, however, to dispose of the solid waste in any area where food for human consumption is being raised, such as a vegetable garden, etc. The solid waste consistency is best maintained by using the right proportion of peat moss to the amount of liquid in the waste.

This is the second toilet ive purchased the first on my bruce roberts 38ft offshore, the second on a 30ft pearson p30. I sold the pearson and the person i sold it to also loves it no more pump out.

mDesign Kitchen Sink Suction Holder : Looks and works exactly as advertised! Suction cups have

Does a great job as promised in the selection. It looks nice and the suction is very strong. I keep a sponge,a green scratch cleaner and a long handled scrub brush in mine— with a little room to spare. Totally worth the money just to have what i need to wash dishes right there stuck in my sink— leaves me with room on my counter tip , too. I’m thinking to get a couple more for the bathroom sinks to hold bottled soap and a couple of rolled up wash cloths — there again making more counter space. Could even keep a razor in there, too.

Having a difficult time getting to stay it was fine. Took a little rubbing alcohol rubbed it the. Other then having a difficult time getting to stay it was fine. I love not having my sponge. In spite of some reviews saying this product wouldn’t stick, it sticks perfectly on the side of my stainless steel sink. I love not having my sponge, drain stopper and basket sitting on the counter or in my sink. Great product and i’m so glad i found it.

Well made & doesn’t seem like it’s going to rust anytime soon. The left suction cup seemed pretty finicky at first & i was afraid it was going to be a constant struggle but after a day of resticking it over & over it somehow settled in & now hasn’t fallen off once in the almost two weeks that we’ve had it. Hopefully that track record continues. It easily fits two standard yellow & green sponges side by side with a little room in between so they have plenty of airflow to dry, and it has enough width that you could fit two more behind them but you’d obviously lose that airflow. It’s attractive in a simple, basic way & it’s made a big difference in the life & smell good of our sponges.

Attractive, sturdy, and the suction cups stay on.

mDesign Kitchen Sink Suction Holder for Sponges, Scrub Brushes, Soap – Extra Large, Bronze : I love this – holds 2 sponges(standing on end) and allows air to circulate so they dry and don’t get mildewy.

Like the longer length–could be even a bit longer. The suction cups on the first one i ordered did not hold up; this is my second order & so far so good.

Looks good and has plenty of room for a sponge and scrub pad. Haven’t had any trouble with the suction cups like some reviewers spoke of. Just make sure the sink is clean & dry then barely wet the cups and stick it where you want it.

Sticks on stainless steel sink with a bit of vaseline. Sticks on stainless steel sink with a bit of vaseline help. There is some rotation/wiggle room at the connection between the tray and the suction cups.

Initially it would not stick on the stainless sink even. Initially it would not stick on the stainless sink even though the area was dry. I applied dish-washing liquid to one suction area. So i applied it both suction cups pressed them against the area where i wanted it to stick and voila.

This works well for holding markers and cloth eraser on a glass board. Tilts forward a little rather than hanging rigid but it does the job. Suction ups seem to be holding. In fact i bought a few more so it does what i wanted and is not distracting to look at.

Looks great, but use better quality suction cups. This looks great but i followed the advice of another review and bought better quality suction cups. The two cups that come with this don’t really work well so i replaced them with the better cups and now it works perfectly.

This product is the perfect size and it stays in place on our porcelain sink.

Great for keeping sponge out of site, whith in reach, clean and dry. Perfect solution to my sponge phobia. Keeps sponge dry, off the counter, out of the sink and out of the way. I never thought such a little kitchen accessory would bring me this much joy. We have a large stainless steel sink, this device hasn’t come unstuck or caused any hassle.

InterDesign Classico Over the Cabinet Wastebasket Trash Can or Storage Basket, I love ‘ Over the Cabinet Kitchen Storage Organizer Basket for

Heavy metal (not flimsy), spacious, keeps me organized. I just moved in to a new apartment a few weeks ago and vowed to become more organized. On the top basket, i am storing my small blue dish scrubber, brillo pad, pair of yellow gloves and sink stopper. The second tier has the cleaning products that i use daily – 409 cleaning spray, dish soap and glass stove cleaner. The bottom rack would easily fit another bottle. Overall, this basket keeps me organized, has a simplistic design, is a heavy metal (not flimsy or bendable), spacious and lays flat against the cabinet. Why i took off a star: if the furthest hook gets too close to the cabinet door hinge, it will prevent it from closing – this has happened about 5 times in the past 1. 5 weeks since it was delivered – fairly bothersome but semi-understandable, as the basket moves around minimally because it’s not screwed into place. Also, when it arrived – the hooks were facing the same way as the baskets – which obviously wouldn’t work for hooking on to the cabinet.

Nrsfashionista approves this message. This is a great/sturdy organization tool. The organizer was a little shaky when opening and closing the cabinet door but museum putty in just the right places took care of the slight wiggling.

Exactly as described and very useful. Exactly what i was looking for to store saran wrap, aluminum foil, etc. This fits over a cabinet door perfectly and holds four boxes. It seems sturdy and the padding on the over-door hooks prevent the metal from scratching the cabinet doors, which is especially helpful since this is a rental apartment. Very pleased with this purchase.

Quality product that is a space saver. . It’s been perfect for under our kitchen sink. It holds my sponge and my brushes for doing the dishes. It also holds our dish detergent, cleanser bottle, and dishwasher pods. It still leaves me with lots of space under the sink too. It is a space saver and very convenient. It’s very sturdy and great quality-i can tell it will last. We have a farmhouse sink on an island so this keeps everything convenient but tucked out of the way. I wanted a place that a sponge and brushes could dry and the aeration is perfect.

Rev-A-Shelf Double Trash Pullout 35 Quart -Wood – Perfect for trash & recycle, conceals and easy to change

We love this item and look very nice.

The product looks good, good price and it works. I had 2 issues with the product1. The instructions for installation are horrible2. My item did not come with side mounting adjustable brackets (i saw these on the company you tube video) so i had to shim it with wood blocks which added another hour to the installation. 5 hours to install with the kids running around.

Good price good product and quick delivery.

Our cabinets are older and non standard size so i had to cut a couple pieces of wood to install this. Very sturdy, slides have just enough traction to keep it sliding in and out on its own. Must have if you want to keep your kitchen clear of unsightly receptacles.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Good quality plywood makes up the base

What a help this has been for us. No more reaching under the kitchen sink to put something in the trash. Plus the bonus of having the extra container for recycling. Was fairly easy to install and is very sturdy. Glides out smoothly and easily. Even our 20 month old grandson can pull it out to put trash in. My husband and i feel that this was worth every penny and really makes it easier on our backs. You won’t regret buying this.

This is one of the best items in my kitchen. I could have used this way before now.

Perfect for trash & recycle, conceals and easy to change. I searched high and low for a cheaper alternative to this and found nothing that was a top mount in the cabinet pull out trash can. You can find a bunch of ones that mount on the bottom of the cabinet or flip out but those are worthless. Bit the bullet and got this one and it’s great as expected. I only wish i’d have bought the 50 quart size since we go through a lot of trash & recycle. Regular bags fit both this 35 qt and the 50 (we tuck in the little bit of extra on the top for this 35 qt size). If you’re looking for something better or cheaper it doesn’t exist.

Great item – i love not having free-standing trash cans in the kitchen. Installation wasn’t easy and the directions were not terribly helpful; otherwise it’d be 5 stars.

Fortunately, i cannibalized what i needed from removing the. I was thrilled to find that it exactly fit the cabinet i wanted to retrofit. I actually found the installation instructions reasonably straightforward and accurate. I did, however, not receive half of the screws that the instructions claimed i should have. Fortunately, i cannibalized what i needed from removing the existing hinges from my cabinet so i was able to make do. I considered dropping a star for that quality control issue, but let it slide considering how much i love this product. It’s a bit confusing that the product listing shows ‘less bins’ when the bins are most definitely included. But that’s not a fault of the product either. The end result looks fantastic and we use it constantly.

Great quality build, really great heavy-duty drawer glides. Easy to install as well, only took me about an hour.

I only give it four stars because of the details of the instructions on putting it in. It truly does take several hours to put in and you must have some prior knowledge of cabinetry as well. I believe a template would be beneficial. But it works wonderful and is extremely well built.

This is my favorite part of our renovated kitchen. I love that the trash is tucked away and it is very sturdy, even with our toddler pulling and hanging on it.

Product is exactly as pictured and worked great in the kitchen we are redoing. We got rid of a trash compactor and this was the perfect replacement.

This is a must have in any kitchen. The item is very well built and was easy to install in my current kitchen.

It keeps my trash where my dogs. It keeps my trash where my dogs can’t get it. It was easy to install, slides easily.

We love this item and look very nice.

Works like a charm but complicated to install. Yes, all the reviews on how hard it is to install are true. I’ve installed ceiling fans, water softeners, vent hoods and sprinkler systems in my home, but this took me almost and entire day to set up. The hardest part is when you have to perfectly align it with a level, flashlight and screws ready to install on while half my body is inside the cabinet in the most awkward position ever. Once installed it worked great and my wife loved it. Most painful mother’s day gift ever.

This trash can looks great in my bathroom. . This trash can looks great in my bathroom. It keeps odors out of the bathroom, because of the lid. No need to bend down to throw any trash away, because of the step opener ( which works great).

Great trash can – good for litter box solids. Works great – does what a small trash can should. We use this for holding litter box solids and haven’t had any issues with the mechanical portion.

Nice can, little light, wish it was a little heavier so it didn’t move around when you step on the flip lid.

Nice matt finish, very classy trash can.

Nice matt finish, very classy trash can.

This is a great little bathroom garbage can but bags don’t secure well onto the single metal half rod inside. Worked well to keep my roommate’s dog out of bathroom items.

The description stated that it was in the original box and the box was torn; but, contents were unharmed. This was not the case, it was dented; but, still okay.

I use mine in the bathroom and its great. The foot opener keeps you from having to stare at trash or getting your hands dirty. The color isnt the traditional trash can color but looks nice.

Can is a nice petite size for bathroom. Color is a nice bronze and black inside with bucket that pulls out with a handle that lays nicely around edges. The pedal is small too and doesn’t lift the lid to a 90 degree angle but well enough.

Oversized 1 – Great Compost Bin

Larger than i expected but fits where i wanted to use it. Came very promptly without any damage. Waiting for fruit fly season to see if there are issues with flies but, so far, it’s great. Love being able to remove the inner bucket to empty and wash.

Great size, quality and easy to clean. Love that you can pick bucket out to remove.

  • Great Design and Functionality!!!!
  • and looks good, too
  • Great for small spaces (like mine)

I like that there is an inner bucket that is easy to handle and empty. I wish the lid fit more securely. I worry that since it is so loose it will let the odor out.

The compost bin is excellent, not too big not too small. The compost bin is excellent, not too big not too small. The inner plastic bucket quite sturdy and washable. I am very happy with the purchase.

Super clean design, love how it looks and that its extra large to hold more compost.

I’m only giving 4 out of 5 because i haven’t had it very long. I’m anticipating a fruit fly problem when the weather gets warmer. I don’t see the possibility of it rusting shut like the last two compost pails i bought, so i’m feeling pretty happy right now. Love the slightly larger size.

I really like this compost bin. I really like this compost bin. I love the way you can fit a compostable bag in the inner bin and tuck it almost out of sight. I love the size, it is much easier to get food into without getting it all over the bin than my old (broken) ceramic one and it needs emptying less often.

Make sure you buy the compostable bags that go with it. We are really enjoying this.

Clean, not fancy, but will work perfectly for. Clean, not fancy, but will work perfectly for us to use on a day to day basis, and not have to leave scraps in a bowl and run out to the compost bin.

Large enough that i don’t have to empty it twice a day, or even every day. Larger than most kitchen bins, and looks good, too. I do wish the lid fit tighter, but haven’t had any problems, yet. Still cold weather, so i am withholding judgement on the filters ability to reduce smell / keep fruit flies at bay until warmer weather comes around.

Great design and functionality. This compost bucket is the best i have ever had. I recently bought a white ceramic bucket that i also like but it is small and heavy to transport to my composter. I love the inner plastic insert that i can lift out and take to my composter. And then i can put it in the dishwasher. The white exterior is very attractive and seems like it will hold up for years. It is a great size and will hold a a lot before it has to emptied.

Sturdy, great quality, so useful. It’s a bit larger than i thought it would. All the better to encourage me.

InterDesign Chevron Waste Can – a little bigger but other than that it looks cool and matches our bedroom colors of grey and yellow

I was extremely pleased with these totes. They were as advertised, and fit in perfectly with my decor.

It’s plastic and small so it fits everywhere and looks great as an accent piece and pop of color in a bland apartment bathroom. My first order didn’t arrive but when i let the company know, it was at my door the next day. I truly, truly appreciate the amazing customer service.

Good size, will hold double rolls easily.

The suction cup on this is not very good.

Works as promised and looks nice. Looks nice in the shower to hold smaller items. Its a good product for the price. Not real high end, but serves its purpose and is the perfect colors for the décor in the bathroom. It has never lost suction and its been up several weeks. I haven’t put anything real heavy in it just in case.

Love this trash can, matches our newly renovated bathroom.

Purchased this item, but it was delivered w/o a lid. Amazon replaced at no cost, but still no lid with new one. The product did not totally fit under toilet tank so my husband used a sander and sanded it smooth. I made my own lid, with oxyclean container lid, painted it, and attached kitchen knob. I really like this product, but lost one start for missing lid. Amazon did best they could to make it right, and customer service was great.

Very slow ship but like all the bathroom items i bought.

Different than pictured and doesn’t stick well. Doesn’t suction very well and mine was missing a stripe, it just has a big white spot.

It’s very cute but one suction doesn’t stick. So i’m have to buy some water resistant command strips.

Works out great in the room it’s in. A bit smaller than what i had in mind, but i didn’t look for dims when purchasing. Works out great in the room it’s in.

I was a little disappointed in the size. This basket matches our bathroom decor perfectly. I was a little disappointed in the size, but i should have paid attention to the dimensions. Other than that it works and matches perfectly for what i got it for.

Very pleased and perfect size.
