Glad Tall Kitchen Drawstring Clear Recycling Trash Bags : Great Blue Recycling Bags For Glass, Plastics, And Cardboard

Excellent brand hard to find. I live in sheepshead bay brooklyn and for some reason, the stores here no longer carry/sell blue recyclable bags. Yes, i have spoken to the store managers ; yes, i tried supermarkets, walgreens, duane reade, lowe’s, home depot. . Bought the best brand ” glad” 45 count will last me well over an year. Price was fair considering a sanitation fine can run $100.

Blue recycling bags, gets the job done. Couldn’t find them in stores around dfw. . Yup recycling bags that are blue.

Great bags, they hold a ton. Normally when i shop o amazon prime, i only go for products with prime shipping, or at least free shipping. But when i saw the amount of recycling bags for the price (*45* 13 gallon bags for 9. 79 plus shipping) i knew i had to buy them. Here in nyc, you get a hefty fine if you don’t recycle. . Yet many stores don’t sell recycling bags. What kind of sense does that make?.So i usually purchase my bags from bj’s.

I love using these for packing and storing clothes because i can see what’s in them right away. Bags designed for clothes storage tend to be thick, need vacuum cleaners, are complicated. When throwing away private things i use a brown paper bag inside but usually fine for medium trash containers. I have bought 3 or 4 boxes so far.

I normally use the glad handle tie recycling bags. The handle tie bags are heavier, and the handles just make them easy to use. The person who wrote that they were too thin to pack full is right. In general, i like using the blue recycling bags. For some reason, people do not buy them often, so i am glad amazon carries them. Next time, or maybe even before next time, i will make sure i buy the handle ties. Note: i like the handle tie regular trash bags more than the red string bags.

But i found these here on amazon and they are perfect. Decent price for the amount you get. I have no idea why i can’t find kitchen sized recycling bags at any store at all in my city, but i found these here on amazon and they are perfect. Decent price for the amount you get. Great blue recycling bags for glass, plastics, and cardboard. Recycling in new york city is the law. A majority of people and companies do it, otherwise you will get fined if certain things that can be recycled aren’t put in the appropriate colored bags. I use this blue recycling for recycling my glass/plastics in one bin, and my paper/cardboard products in another bin. The blue is blue as it should be to indicate there are recyclable contents inside. You can see through the plastic as to what is being recycled, and the thickness of the bags is thin and strong enough to contain heavy glass, or sharp cardboard corners, without ripping. When the bag is full, the red straps at the opening can be cinched and tied closed. These are great recycling bags.

Glad see-through recycle bags are great. Could not find these in any we retail stock of my local merchants so i went online. Not available in target, walmart, hardware stores or anywhere else it says they exist when they are searched online. . So the brilliant thing to do if you have a big project ahead is to go ahead and order $40 worth of these at one time, so you can get free shipping. They are plenty strong and pretty clear. They are great if you want to remember what you’ve got in the bags while you’re sorting things out (great for laundry too). They are also wonderful if you wanted to create a gift basket. You could cut off the top so that it looks beautiful with its clean cut at the top and a beautiful ribbon securing the opening. I plan to work with these for as long as i can get them.

They do exactly what they’re supposed to. And they don’t tear (usually) and they have drawstrings which are very convenient. In the great city of pittsburgh, you have to put your recycle in blue bags. Most folks use shopping bags. I can fit a week’s worth of recycle in one of these bags.

In our apartment complexes, they require blue recycling bags, which i had never heard of. I could not find them in any retail stores in my area, which is frustrating when they are required. We use them all the time and they are wonderfully durable. I have never once seen a rip or capacity stretch in these bags, because they do hold so much. I’ll admit it helps to break down boxes and larger containers, but after a year of use, the quality is evident. The drawstring is also durable and does not tear out of its seam. There are many bags in this package, so even if we used one bag a week, it would last us most of the calendar year.

Very goo, but occasionally too flimsy. . When used in a 13 gallon garbage container, the bags often tear when stretched over the rim. This problem only seems to occur in with some cartons of bags.

I like the ones with plastic tie handles on top that. Its hard to find clear bags where i live. These are clear and unscented. I like the ones with plastic tie handles on top that are part of the bag itself but can’t find them at shaws anymore.

Excellent for recycling plastics. These bags are thick and strong, which is important when you’re stuffing all of your recycling into it. I really can smash down on the contents without even thinking i’m going to tear the bag. Because it’s clear, my waste disposal guys know it’s recycling, and not just your every day trash. My only tiny nit to pick is that it’s not dyed blue like the other version of glad’s recycling bags. With blue, you know it’s recycling. But that’s a tiny concern, and i’ve had no issues with the bags being clear.

My recyclers require clear bags for shred.

Durable, perfect for handling recyclables. . My complex started doing recycling pick up at our doors but required that we put it in blue recyclable bags. I could not find any in my local stores. My first thought when i got these is that they are thin and if i filled them up with bottles there was no way i was going to be able to move a full bag without it ripping. In fact these are stronger than my regular black trash bags and the seams are tight enough that they don’t leak. (i mean i’m sure they would if you filled them with water, but they’re absolutely good enough for soda bottles and things that have some residue in them. ) they hold flattened cardboard boxes ok, but they’re not meant for that and the corners will break through if the boxes stretch out the sides. 45 bags is a lot so one box lasts me over a year with it taking my recycling out every 2 weeks or so, and really the price is not much different than regular trash bags, so they’re a good deal in that respect.

Aren’t you glad you’re recycling?. When people meet me, they say (audibly) ‘you recycle, don’t you?’. And before i get weirdly offended, i blurt out, ‘yes, i do, and i use glad tall kitchen drawstring recycling bags for all my curbside needs. ‘ that’ll shut them up right away, because glad knows bags, and if you know bags, you better know recycling. I do get a little tearage at the top when i pull that bag full o’ plastics out the bin, but hey, mother earth is worth it, isn’t she?.

Why aren’t recycling bags made of recycled materials?. I’m doing a little cleanup around the local lake and bought these for the effort. They are exactly what i needed and good quality, my only complaint is that they aren’t made of recycled materials. It seems a little silly to me, obviously the people who are recycling and buying recycling bags care about recycling, so why wouldn’t you use at least a percentage of recycled materials in the product?.A little disappointing, but overall they are a good product.

I use these bags not for garbage, but for storing things such as holiday wreaths, crafting supplies, yarn, out of season clothing etc. It’s great to be able to quickly and easily see what’s in there.

If you need to store things away and don’t want to buy the more expensive plastic bins, then these work perfectly. You can easily see the contents when you need to find your items.
