Flings Bins POP UP Recycle Bins – We love them, and after seeing my set up my

This is a very clever product. We bought a pack for our wedding coming up next month. We’re doing our best to be ‘green’ by providing convenient recycling receptacles at our outside venue. We unpacked one bin to see how it would work and were impressed that the interior uprights are metal- like a mini blind slat- that snaps up, rigid. After looking at it, we easily compressed it back down to store until the event. I’ll repost and let you know how they worked out.

Will continue to buy in future. I have used them for all of my parties. They are classy and hold quite a bit of recyclables/trash and are easy to carry away when full. The bins pop up and really do stand up on their own. There is a piece of cardboard in the bottom to catch liquid drips, too. I would like to see them in more colors, if possible, which will allow me to use them more frequently in different settings.

Great recycle or trash container for boating. . When we have large groups on the boat, we used to tie a garbage bag to the rail. But a friend gave us a flings, and it looks so much better. And they are sturdy enough to be reusable. When it fills, we dump all the cans into a bag to take to recycle. And because they are so compact before opening, we can keep a supply of them below decks so we always have one when we need it. Here are the specifications for the Flings Bins POP UP Recycle Bins:

I used to have a simple plastic storage bin in my kitchen, and things would bounce out when i threw them in. These are tall and skinny, but not too skinny: a gallon milk jug fits with a couple inches of clearance. I can keep two in the space where my old bin was. I carry these out to dump in my municipal recycling, and if they get dirty in a few months i’ll just collapse them into the recycling themselves. So much better than my old system.

Slightly more flimsy than i expected. That said i certainly cannot complain when price is factored in. I have found that for some reason they do not do well with sitting in the outside enviroment even if it is the garage. The platic starts to shred for some reason. But kept inside they last a long time and i have had my 10 pack last nearly a year with 4 still unopened. I wanted to update my review after the extensive service i got out of this product. I upgraded it to a 5 from a 3. If you take moderate care you will get substantial reuse out of these recycle bins. It gives you a great return on the investment. I am getting ready to buy another set.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Flings are fantastic!
  • Clever design but not as versatile as I had hoped
  • Fantastic product

For parties they’re perfect. Placea few around the house or yard and people know where to put their trash and/or recyclables. The recylcle ones are perfect for those weeks when our bin is too small for all our recyclables. Here’s a tip: do not buy the single ones on amazon as they are not coming from the fling company and are overpriced. I guarantee you’ll use them up. So easy to open up and then when full, simply use the drawstring like any other trash bag.

We used them at our cottage rental and they really helped cut down on all of the trash a houseful of people can generate. Lightweight enough to haul to the recycling center but durable enough to hold up to all that we threw at itthey would also be great at a party for trash or recyclables.

I’ve been ordering them from amazon for. I’ve been ordering them from amazon for years. The fit perfectly inside the recycle bin on trash day if i choose, or sit nicely beside it if that’s full of other items. Because it has a drawstring like a trashbag, items don’t blow out and around the neighborhood on windy days.

We use them (and reuse them) all the time. They are extremely handy for recycling. We use them for our everyday glass recycling at our weekend place, and typically can reuse each bag a few times (since we toss the contents in a big bin at the condo complex). Back at home, they are fantastic to use at parties. I strategically position them inside and outside the house so it’s convenient for my guests to toss their empties. This makes cleanup a breeze. They look good and are plenty sturdy. They come folded down so they’re easy to store, and it’s a breeze to pop them up.

They’re an inexpensive office option and they’re reusable. They’re an inexpensive office option and they’re reusable as well, which makes them a good value. Our office building empties recycling nightly, so these will have a long life.

We moved out to a ranch and do not have recycling pick up. This has been the perfect solution. After one fills up, i close the drawstrings on the top of the bag and put it in my trunk to take to the recycling center. There was a complaint in the reviews that they are ‘flimsy and tip over easily’. I do not find them to be flimsy, and i use an empty wood milk crate to put it in and it keeps it standing up quite nicely.

A student assembled them easily. I put a liner in them so that. I bought these to use at school for students to recycle cans and bottles. A student assembled them easily. I put a liner in them so that i could use them more than one time. So far, the item has worked well. I do wish they were just a little taller, but for the price i am very satisfied. We’ll see how they hold up over the next few months.

I ordered 10 of these for a large work event (300+ people) at a state park where they only offer aluminum can recycling. We always provide bottled water and hated not having designated recycling for the plastic bottles. We set them up and used them today and they were exactly what we needed.Super easy to set up; they were clearly for recycling only and easily distinguished from trash. It was so simple to close them up after the event and haul them back to our office recycling.

Great for recycling around the house. Use these around the house in various rooms to collect recyclables. Light weight, obvious as to what should go in it, free standing & recyclable themselves. Only disadvantage is that they do fold in, can’t rest anything on it. When the get gross you just put it into recycle bin also & get a new one out.

Was looking to see if my wast management had something like this instead of the outdoor bin, nothing. I stumble onto these at target. Bought 2, 2 packs and immediately went to amazon to purchase more. Love it and recommending these to all my friends. Hopefully you are on facebook.

I didn’t have much room in my kitchen for another full-size trashcan, but did not want a large recycling bin inside either. These are a little bit larger than i expected, but work perfectly for what i wanted. I’ve used them repeatedly for the past several months, and have been able to reuse the same ones without needing to replace them. They seem to be holding up great. The large-size ended up being a great positive for me.

Super great way to recycle using recycled materials. Plenty of space, reusable unless you get spills in it and fairly strong. I have put a few in different parts of the house and backyard and our recycling has increased a lot. Did i mention that its reusable if you don spill in it?.

It looks good and it is obvious that it is for recycling. I first found fling bins at bed bath and beyond and made a single item purchase. I put it in my kitchen and it actually helped to increase the amount our family recycles. It looks good and it is obvious that it is for recycling.Bbb stopped carrying them for some crazy reason and i was thrilled to find them on amazon. I bought a carton and now have the stored in my garage. I can get between 3-4 weeks out of a single one and more if everyone allows the recycle to dry before putting it in.Now make a smaller one for bedrooms and bathrooms and i’ll have more recycle than trash.

A customer recommended these to me and i couldn’t be more thrilled. A customer recommended these to me and i couldn’t be more thrilled. She hosts many gatherings and insisted that the amount of weight these sturdy bags can hold is amazing – it can be solidly filled with glass containers with no problem. And so yes i’ve experienced it first hand myself in usage. For one situation a bag was filled with magazines (heavy) and this held it with zero problem. The construction is awesome and the image very professional / clean look.

Whitmor Aluminum Handle Triple Recycle Sorter, Best Sorter for Recyclables

So great – excellent quality. This bag is still standing up well after a few months of use. It’s now almost half the price of what i paid for it, but i still think it was worth every cent. We go through a lot of recyclable trash, and other options (various trash cans, etc) were too bulky for our kitchen and didn’t fit anywhere. Keeps my kitchen looking tidy. I just spray it with multi-purpose cleaning spray and hose it down every few weeks to get rid of anything that may have leaked etc.

I had been looking at these for some time and decided to finally spend the money on them. We have looked at several of the offerings but i did not want green bags or some other bright color bags that brought attention to themselves in my kitchen. Although large, due to the black color, you hardly notice this in the corner of the room. The compartments are large and even know i have only had them for a few days i think the construction will hold up well. If you have been looking for a convenient interim receptacle for your recyclables this is the one you should get.

So practical and convenient. I had looked for a convenient way to deal with my recycling and i didn’t want big bins that would take a lot of space. When i saw this, i have to confess that i was rather skeptical. This item is fantastic and really practical. It is easy to carry, which was essential for me since i live in an apartment building and the sections are spacious. It looks very nice and sturdy and really keeps the sorting easy.

Comments from buyers

“Nicely made – larger than I expected, it’s nice, but it won’t stand on its own, Perfect Fit.Just what I was looking for”

Make transport and sorting super easy. This thing is very sturdy and quite large. I had been using the paper bags for trader joe’s to hold my recycling and each of these separations can hold nearly two paper bags full of recycling. It makes it super easy to transport. It’s kind of a pain for the guys at the recycling place to get the various items out separately, but that’s the only downfall i see.

Great alternative to expensive recycling bins. It’s big, it has sturdy handles, and contrary to another review i read, mine actually did stand up on its own empty, right out of the box. I haven’t needed to wash it yet, so that’s my only concern. It’s made of the same woven material as nice reusable shopping bags are, so i’m not sure if you can wash it.

We dont have a pick service for recycling and i wansted something to be able to sort stuff and then drop it off. This is spacious enough to gather recyclables for a week into its 3 compartments. I have out in trash bags in each of them so when its full, i pull it out, dump it in car and drop off the recycle center and bring bac the same bags and line them in this sorter.

Perfect if you have to carry recyclables to a center (no curbside pickup). This bag is much larger than i expected, luckily it lives in a deep closet so it’s not an issue, but i recommend measuring your space first where you plan to put it. It does take up less room than if you had 3 separate bags, however, so if you need to store/sort a lot of recyclables, this will save you space in the long run (since it’s so narrow and tall)if you have room to store it, the large size is great. Even when it’s overflowing it’s easy to lift because of the padded handles. The 3 divided spaces inside are flexible, making it easier to cram more than you thought possible into the bag. Some reviews say it won’t stand on its own, when i first got it would ‘stand’ but would need to lean against the wall a little bit, but after it’s been filled a couple times it stays open squarely after it’s emptied. The only thing that could improve on the design is if the back side was one large flat pocket for carrying larger pieces of cardboard, but it still works great as is.

Excellent product at a great price. This item is so great i immediately ordered a second one the day the first arrived. It is exactly as advertised and larger than expected. I plan on using one for recycling and one for laundry. It fits perfectly in a narrow space and your laundry gets pre-sorted with no fuss. Well made and comes ready for use.

Best sorter for recyclables. Way bigger/roomier than expected and very sleek looking. No more ugly plastic bags hanging on my door handle. This sorter is the easiest for an apartment dweller who has limited space. I hang it on the pantry door handle and it never gets in my way. The rubber handles grip nicely and hold great when stacked on each other – no slipping. Very happy with this purchase.

Nicely made – larger than i expected. My recycling bag just arrived and wow. It is larger than i expected. It fits perfectly in the space i had planned, so i’m very happy as i won’t be making as many recycling trips as i expected. I was just expecting it to be a tad bit smaller from the photos on amazon. I just took a photo of the bag with a 1 gallon milk container in front of it to give you a better sense of scale. The 2 provided pics of the bag and the description are correct, but they just look small to me. Perhaps because of the white background. If you are concerned about it fitting a space properly, get out your tape measure and use the dimensions provided in the description.

I’ve been using this for several months now. I use it for my bottles, glass and cans. Once it fills up, we can easily transport to the recycle center. Since we stay in an apartment. This keeps our balcony recycles looking nice and neat and easy to transport.

It’s much larger than i expected, holds about a weeks worth of recycling, fits in the trunk of my civic, and mine stands up. My only complaint, and reason it didn’t hit 5 stars is my recycling logo is upside down. Not a big thing, but i’m a little ocd about little things like that and i keep the logo to the wall.

It fits just right between the dryer and the wall. I was concerned it would be too light and collapse when we picked it up but it is very sturdy. I have looked for years to find the right solution for a tight spot in my laundry room. Great product and i received fast.

This is so perfect perfect perfect. No need to install anything, amazing sturdy and ergonomic quality product. Small apartments, or large houses, just find a spot for it. About 36 inches wide and 28 inches tall. How easy to sort recycling and to dump it now.To make it even more time efficient i use small biodegradable bags in two of the compartments to throw things away and then dump the last compartment directly into the bin.

Perfect recycling solution for apartment or small household. This bag with its three compartments makes recycling super easy. The tall thin design doesn’t take up too much room in my pantry. The bag is tall and roomy and can easily accommodate 2 weeks worth of recycling for 2 people in an apartment. Overall a better solution than the three stacking plastic bins we used previously. The construction is very durable thick nylon with padded metal handles that are comfortable to walk with in hand to the recycling center 1/4 mile away. Seems like it will last for decades. The bag stands up on its own very well the first time i tried it, even when empty, other reviews i read previous to purchase said it did not stand on its own. It has never fallen over for me.

A great separator for recyclables. My wife and i have recently become much more serious about recycling. We searched for good ways to deal with the separate types of recyclables that our local processor can handle. We wanted something that wasn’t too flimsy, was able to be folded (although we are now noticing we don’t collapse it in practice), and able to be carried, yet looked good. This fits all of those requirements, at least, once the areas are mostly full. Each of the three areas will hold a standard paper bag, but this bag is taller than those. The handle is padded, yet firm. I can say that if all three sections are holding glass, paper, and plastic, you will find this can be a heavy bag to lift, so the handle is very welcome. This sorter seems is a ‘must try’ if you are otherwise searching in vain.

I read reviews that said the bag falls over. I have had no problems there. The best part is the handles. I used to dread the monthly trips to the recycle bins. So many trips back and forth to the car. Now, when i am going past a recycle place, i grab the bag, tuck it into the trunk, and then easily unload, walking past the assorted bins. Also, my kitchen is on the second floor. I tuck this bag out of the way, beside a hutch. No more overflowing paper garbage bags or wastepaper bags littering my kitchen.

Much bigger than i expected and perfect for my recycling needs. Much bigger than i expected and perfect for my recycling needs. We don’t have curbside collections here and so we have to go to a local transfer station. This bag makes recycling so much easier– everything is combined in one big bag. Lol: it’s so big my pet birds took off when i hauled this out of it’s box. I love that there is a section for paper, plastic, and aluminum. I had been taking three really ragged worn out bags which would sometimes spill over.

It was bigger than i thought but not. It was bigger than i thought but not too big. I had a trash can that fit under my sink and it is taller than that. I think i may order a second one for more sorting options.

Stackable Recycling Bin Container : Freezer Organization

Pretty good but not perfect. Fit nicely into the freezer and are easy enough to lift in and out. When full however, their center of gravity is slightly forward. Normallly not a big problem, this causes a bin to tilt forward and slip partially into one below it. While not a big issue, it does cause you to use both hands and swivel the upper bin so that it “nests” properly. All in all, a decent approach to freezer content management. I would buy them again as the price point provides a good value.

Great system for sorting and transporting recyclables. We’ve had the set of 4 recycling bins for a couple of weeks now, and they’re working very well. They fit nicely in the bottom of my pantry stacked 2×2. We transport our trash and recyclables to the town dump about once a week. My husband didn’t like having to sort everything out at the dump, he wanted everything divided beforehand so that he could just throw the plastics in the plastic dumpster, the glass with the glass, etc. This system is great, because we dispose of the recyclables in the proper bin at the house, then he can just grab the bins, take them to the dump, and they’re all pre-sorted, ready to go. Right now i’ve got one for paper, one for plastic, one for glass, and another for steel. We have two bins in the kitchen side-by-side, so i kept one of those for aluminum and other for household trash. I was worried the size of these bins would be too small, but they easily hold a week’s worth of recyclables for our family of 3. I like that they’re flexible in that you can stack them in different configurations to accommodate various spaces, or even nest them together if you don’t need them for a while.

Just what we needed to sort our recyclables. They’re a good size, the handles are convenient, and the fact that they’re stackable is really nice too (makes it easy to customize for the space you have. ) the handwritten note inside the box was a nice touch as well.I did a little research and the company seems like a pretty great nonprofit organization. Overall, i’m really pleased with this purchase.

  • Great for chest freezer organizing!
  • Good Construction, Friendly Note.
  • Yeah, life is easier with these.

I purchased these to organize my deep freezer. They fit nicely and although i cannot fit as much in my freezer with these bins as i could if i were to just throw things helter-skelter in my freezer, at least i can find what i am looking for easily. No more food getting lost at the bottom of the deep freeze. They are sturdy and stack nicely.

I was looking for compact yet effective sorting. I was looking for compact yet effective sorting bins for recycling. I have a small living space and aesthetic preferences that large bins not be out on my porch or in my living areas. These stackable bins fit perfectly into a small space. The handle doubles as the stacking tray. Each bin has a handle so you can easily transport these to the drop-off. Exactly what i was looking for. Size is true to description.

These bins are made of hdpe plastic, recycle code #2, hdpe has a workable max low temp of -40c (that is also -40f) your freezer will never get that cold so these are great for freezer baskets. You need to place the white handle in the forward position to be able to stack these bins, they fit together like disposable cups when the white handle is placed to the rear. I bought these for a haier model #: hf71cl53nw 7. 1 cu ft freezer sold by sam’s club and elsewhere. I can’t give a review of this product for use as a recycle bin as this was not the reason i bought them.

We were using a large rubbermaid tote to hold our recyclables in but once it was full, it was to large for me to really manage getting into the car and down to the center where i then had to sort. They let me sort out plastic, glass and magazines. They stack one atop the other and they have handles which makes them easy to take down to the center. I would have given them 5 stars if they were a bit larger. They are smaller than i thought they were which makes me feel that they are a bit too expensive, but to be honest, i would probably buy them again.

The product is exactly what it says it is, a stack-able bin system for holding your recycling. The bins are durable and have a deep enough lip so that your items do not fall out. I love the fact that they are narrow enough to slide in small spaces so they don’t take up much space in my laundry room. If you’re a short term recycler (meaning you recycle about once a week) and you don’t build up vast amounts of recyclables then these bins are a perfect fit. If the need ever arose i would happily buy them again.

Not real large but stack very nicely. I have mine stacked 4 high next to the fridge on tile. They are stable, but i wouldn’t recommend putting heavy glass in the top one. The plastic is thick and strong.

Yeah, life is easier with these. . The picture is 2 weeks recycling>2 adults, 2 kids. As you can see they’re slightly too small for bigger items (we smashed one milk jug>but. ) i also purchased a can smasher, which i used the first week, not the second. The bins are good for smaller cardboard, i. Cereal boxes, cracker boxes. We were previously dumping it in one bin then having to sort on recycling day. These have made life a whole lot easier.

I love them and would purchase them again. We have had these for a while. They are durable and the size is just right four our purposes. We use them for tin, glass, and paper. We don’t use for plastic because we use the container provided by the city that is bigger and works well for laundry detergent and milk jugs. Those items are a bit big for these bins. Overall, i love them and would purchase them again.

Well designed, user friendly. I’m really impressed with these bins. They’re perfect for keeping those recyclables ready to go on recycle day. No more tedious resorting bags full of cans and bottles. The sturdy handles fold forward to stack and backward to store and best of all they take up very little floor space so i can put them where they’re most convenient (and most likely) to use. A thoughtfully designed welcome addition to my kitchen routine.

They are perfect for my recycling – i have to separate all my different types so i have 8 of these. They stack perfectly and are great for transportation to the recycling center. I’m recommending them to everyonenot the best picture but shows that they stack very nicely and don’t take up much room.

Great for chest freezer organizing. I bought these to organize my deep chest freezer. We were using cloth bags and got tired of all the bags. Even when few of frozen food the handle makes it easy to move one bin to reach another underneath. Shipping took a few days and were packed very well. The bins are very sturdy and look great. I added a small label and they fit perfectly stacked. I have a large recycling bin already and my city doesn’t require me to sort by type but these would be the best sorting recycling bins you will find. A special thanks for that little personalize note on the invoice from the seller.

Freezer only needed 3, great seller. I bought these to organize my freezer. I have a 5 cf freezer, not the 7 cf freezer featured in a popular freezer organizing youtube video, but that was my fault for not checking. However, i removed my wire basket and could still use 3 of these with a narrow space between the compressor box and the bottom recycle bin for some boxes or large bags of items. I have two stacked in the deeper area and one sitting on top of the compressor box, so they still contain things better and allow me to get to a lower level of items in the deep part. I have one bin left over but i’ve found it useful in many other ways in a pinch (gardening basket, foot soaking container, water bucket, toy carrier, etc). This seller was excellent as well — he called me personally to double-check my address that contained a building and a po box — and hand wrote a thank you on the enclosed sales receipt.

I bought these not to use for recycling but instead to help organize a 7 cubic foot chest freezer. I can fit all four in the freezer where they stack nicely from top to bottom of the freezer space. The handles make retrieval of frozen foods a snap.

MetroDecor mDesign Wastebasket Trash Can – Great quality for the price

Smaller then i thought but works, i just have to empty it more often.

Very nice and convenient for the bathroom vanity. Came a little smaller than i expected but nevertheless, very nice and convenient for the bathroom vanity table.

I love this thing next to my keurig coffee maker. I love this thing next to my keurig coffee maker. The little used cups get tossed in then emptied out each night. Also got one for dryer lint.

  • The lid has little cylinder weights on each end so it easily swings when you put trash in
  • this is the perfect size for a counter top trash can
  • very nice and convenient for the bathroom vanity

Nice little wastebasket container for my nightstand. Seems well made and i am happy with the purchase.

The lid has little cylinder weights on each end so it easily swings when you put trash in. I bought the first through a discount home goods store, but haven’t seen anymore come through their inventory. It’s a hard plastic, not a cheap flimsy kind. The lid has little cylinder weights on each end so it easily swings when you put trash in, but then settles perfectly. This trash can is desktop size. It’s not meant to hold large items like cups or such. Small items is what will fit; paperclips, tissues, q-tips, etc.

Very nice and convenient for the bathroom vanity. Came a little smaller than i expected but nevertheless, very nice and convenient for the bathroom vanity table.

Love the color and it is perfect for my bathroom counter.

Perfect for nightstand (note: sticker peeled off easily). This wastebasket is perfect for my nightstand. Trash from my daily disposable contact lenses ends up here. I was concerned about reviews that said the sticker label was impossible to remove, but risked it anyway. I was pleased that the label on mine peeled off easily.

Great quality for the price. Did not come with any cracks. Looks great in my ocean themed bathroom.

I’d give it a 5 but there is a huge product sticker on it that won’t come off :(.

Most of the mess in my bathroom is from tissues and q-tips and little tangles of hair on the countertop. I put this bin on the countertop and that mess magically went away. The bin’s top swings easily and the bin is easy to empty.

You can fit three napkins, 8 qtips and maybe one or two used condoms then it’s full.

Perfect for under the counter for q-tips or makeup sponges that you don’t feel like walking to the trash can to throw.

I keep it on my make up counter to throw away q-tips and my disposable contact lens containers.

Its cute but the top comes off all the time.

This is the perfect size for a counter top trash can. This is the perfect size for a counter top trash can. Slightly larger than a large bottle of mouthwash. I was concerned about putting a ‘trash can’ on the counter, but this looks nice. I bought this so my daughter would manage her disposable contacts into the trash can.

Recycle Caddy Bin Cart “The Original” – Steady, attractive, carts

Great product for compacting storage of recycle bins in our. Great product for compacting storage of recycle bins in our breakroom at work. Also adds for ease in getting the bins out to the curb.

We just received this cart a couple of weeks ago. I like not having to ‘carry’ our two recycling containers to the curb. Looks much neater and so far also keeps our dogs from sorting through the recycling. My husband felt rather easy to put together and quality seems better than he thought when he initially opened the box.

Great product–challenge to assemble. Assembly directions were not very clear (and i am a technical writer by trade); but once i muddled through it, the end product was perfect.

  • EXCELLENT product and service!
  • Axle Bolts for wheels were wrong size
  • Nice Recycle Bin Cart But Lacks Enough Cross Braces to Support Normal Sized Bins

Purchased for an elderly parent that is not so steady on his feet anymore. I was afraid he would fall carrying recycle bins to the curb. He loves the cart and makes it so much easier for him. I view it as a safety measure as well as convenience. It’s light weight but sturdy enough to do the job.

Ordered this for my elderly parents, it is perfect, helps them bring recycle to the curb, is pretty solid for the price. The company that made the bin went out of their way to contact me to be sure it was the right size for their bin, as there are 2 versions, this one for large bins and another for small. It does have to be assembled, but it was pretty easy.

I have been stopped by more than one neighbor to find out how they can get a hold of this product and i highly recommend this cart to them. The only thing i would change is the assembly instructions. They were not as clear as they could have been. I had a pvc cart before but it didn’t last long. I will say that the customer service is wonderful. I mistakenly ordered the wrong size and they repeated reached out to me to make sure i was ordering the correct cart and i am really glad they did. I had indeed ordered the wrong size cart. The time and effort their customer service team took to get in touch with me is amazing and was appreciated.

Nice recycle bin cart but lacks enough cross braces to support normal sized bins. This is a really nice cart, but i have one pretty big issue. Your recycle bins need to be pretty big to not fall through the back or bottom of the cart. If they had a couple more cross braces to support normal size bins i would’ve given it 5+ stars. Put a couple more braces on the cart to support the smaller or normal sized bins and you will sell a lot of these.

Excellent product and service. Our garage (where we store the bins until recycling day) was an avalanche of bottles and boxes before recycling day before, but this cart is perfect. Very sturdy, more than enough space for our large orange county (fl) bins, and i no longer have to pick through the pile of stuff in the garage every week to sort the recyclables before i take them out, because everyone in the household can easily throw them into the correct one now. This cart is much better than the copycat one from ace, which was too small for our bins anyhow. I should note that the manufacturer actually called us after we placed the order, just to double-check and be sure we were buying the correct one. We were extremely impressed by the service, and the quality of the product. And i agree with something one other reviewer wrote — i wouldn’t have thought that having four wheels would make such a difference before i had them with this cart — it’s a wonderful touch.

Nice way to stack and move bins. This requires a little knuckle busting to put together but it’s a great gadget and makes it much easier to move these blue buckets around the garage.

The instructions are very weak and it takes someone with experience to follow along. On the plus side, the manufacturer provides some extra parts which is helpful in case you drop a nut or screw as i did.

Sturdy and works as advertised. Sturdy and works as advertised. Makes it easy to store and haul around our heavy recycle bins.

Nice way to stack and move bins. This requires a little knuckle busting to put together but it’s a great gadget and makes it much easier to move these blue buckets around the garage.

It is a simple design that uses good sturdy materials. It rolls right into its garage position with easily accessible bins which fit the supports snugly. On recycling day, it rolls, loaded, effortless, right down the driveway to the curb where the bins are easily removed and placed curbside ready for pick-up.

I was dubious about the quality of this cart. Nicer than expected and easy to put together. Once built it makes carrying two full recycle bins easy to get to the curb.

Very light-weight and sturdy. Easy to roll, fits bins well, attractive. Assembly was a pain but then most ‘assembly-required’ items are a pain.

Ours arrived with an incorrect part; a call to the vendor resulted in a replacement part arriving within two days. Assembly proceeded without further incident. As is customary with items coming from offshore, the written assembly instructions are difficult to comprehend, it’s best to rely on the pictures accompanying the text. Our driveway is paving stones with recessed edges, and the small front wheels can’t negotiate the surface, so it has to be tipped and pulled on the rear wheels. That, in turn, means the contents have to be arranged such that they don’t fall off when the tilt commences. Otherwise, nothing at all to criticize.

Fit my bins and does the job. Only complaint is that there were more parts to put together than i expected – the instructions weren’t very clear, but it was easy enough to figure out.

I’m so glad i purchased this versus the pvc cart which some of my neighbor’s have (they haven’t held up well). I checked out the website on dimensions of the bins and mine fit perfectly (i live in boca raton fl and am serviced by waste management). It’s a breeze wheeling it out to the curb. And it takes up a lot less room in my garage. Now i can let the bins fill up rather than taking them out every week because i don’t see those separate bins lying there with trash.

It does just what i wanted it. It does just what i wanted it to do. The front wheels do get caught on driveway cracks, so you need to tilt it some otherwise it works great. Makes taking out the recycle bins much easier.

Genuine Joe GJO57258 Recycling Rectangular Container : Fantastic price, super fast shipping, well made!

This is a much better shape, in my kitchen. This is a much better shape, in my kitchen, to be used beside my lidded garbage can, than the lower-height “laundry-basket” shaped recycling bin whose “foot print” was really an obstacle to quick and easy use. Somebody should be thanked for having a really good idea when they conceived of a tall and narrow recycling bin.

Strong, sturdy, lightweight and inexpensive. Bought this to replace a regular size kitchen trash can we have been using for recycling since our city recently started the program. Holds plenty, reducing trips to the recycling bin in the alley by 4 or 5 trips. Now it’s easy for guests to see where to place recyclables. I’ve been asked where i purchased it from and cannot believe the price.

Fantastic price, super fast shipping, well made. What’s there to say about a recycling container?. But i can say that it’s about half the cost of the rubbermaid brand and others that look similar at home depot and lowe’s. It appears to be well made, and both times i’ve ordered one it has arrived in about 24 hours. The shipping cost is also much lower than most websites, and that’s coming from the seller, not amazon. I don’t understand the comments about the logo. It’s a recycling container – no big deal – it’s just the companies name.

Perfect size- we have it under the can crusher- tall. Perfect size- we have it under the can crusher- tall enough to hold a lot. Narrow enough that it doesn’t create a problem reaching the crusher or walking around it.

Genuine Joe GJO57258 Recycling Rectangular Container, 28 gallon Capacity, 22-1/2″ Width x 30″ Height x 11″ Depth, Blue

Quality – afunctionality – avalue – a.

Very sturdy, and slim enough for purpose. It is attractive, very sturdy, and slim enough for purpose. It can accommodate a 30 gallon bag that folds over several inches past the opening. Because it is tall it is a little hard to pull the bag out if you are not tall (i am 5’6″.

Nice height and length but wish depth was more. Nice sturdy bin, appears to be made of the same heavy plastic that our county’s recycling bins are made of. This is a bit too ‘slim’, as we can’t take our shredder bin and dump it into this – this bin is about 1″ too narrow for that, thus one star off the rating. Otherwise it is a nice size. Height comfortable for use and narrow enough that it doesn’t get in the way. We use it with the slotted lid.

The dimensions are of the inside of the container (at the top), not of the container itself. I had 20″ to fit 2 trash cans, and i purchased 2 of these and they have to stack on each other slightly. I could probably cut off part of each of them, but i don’t care enough.

Perfect for my recycling needs. Nice and neat, heavy duty, fits the husky 30 gal blue bags, slim profile fits well into it’s allotted spot. Very happy with the purchase.

Suncast Recycle Bin Kit BH183PK : Excellent option for outdoor recycling storage.

I can walk in the kitchen now. I purchased this for my girlfriend who is a recycling nazi. Our small kitchen was looking pretty junky with the amount of recycling we had stashed in plastic bags that had itself been reused. These recycling bins were perfect for our needs. I leave them on the back porch. I was worried about the size of the containers, and was concerned they would be to small for our needs. If they were to small, that would mean frequent trips to the recycling center. However, these are quite large, and can actually hold more then are trash bags we were using. Each lid has a flap that you can pull open, and it will stay until you are done with it. This comes in handy when i am juggling the recyclables.

Kinda cheap, in all respects. . First off this was super-cheap. The lids don’t open and close right, the hinges are plastic, molded with the lid itself, and are not very smooth to operate. You kind of feel like you’re breaking them every time. When i got them today, i actually thought they were put together wrong, they were so inflexible, noisy and un-smooth in operation. Plastic is on the thin side too, which makes it not terribly sturdy when stacked. But the bins were substantially cheaper than the equivalent product out there, and overall it’s hard to complain at this price point. If i had to do it over again, i’d buy something higher quality, and would have spent a little more.

Great for pop cans and bottles. As “pop” drinking oregonians, my family uses these recycling bins for our bottles and cans. We then take the cans and bottles to a recycling depot. We use the yellow bin for plastic bottles, the green bin for aluminum cans, and the blue bin for glass (blue recycling containers are always for glass where we live). We use special green plastic bags (the same size as a standard drawstring 13-gal trash bag, just green and labeled with a barcode instead of white), fill up the bags, and just turn in a whole bag all at once to the recycling depot. The workers there count it for us and credit our account with our refund. The green bags are wonderful, and they fit well into these bins if you are careful. I do have to remove a 90% full bag from the bin in order to fill it the last little bit, especially for cans, but that’s not a big deal. The bins are easy to clean–and stay even cleaner when lined with a plastic bag.

Very sturdy – i bought them again. I bought these a few years ago and i had to buy them again because they disappeared. They are sturdy enough to put at the curb (except for that disappearance thing) and do not get broken when the recycling people throw them around. They also look good enough to bring into the house – in the mud room. They are large and easy to use and stack really well. They are easy to carry out to the curb and a better size and shape than a round barrel. And they cost about half what i paid about 4 years ago.

Was a great pet food storage option – until the lid cracked and collapsed. . Update: i loved this for the first six months. But they can’t hold more than about 30 pounds all together because the plastic lids crack and then collapse under the combined weight. I stored 30 pounds of dog food in the bottom one, 15 pounds of cat food in the middle one, and maybe 10 pounds of miscellaneous parret food and supplies in the top one. The bottom lid cracked in several places and collapsed, under the combined 35 total pound weight of the containers above. I gorilla glued it and reinforced with duct tape, then reinforced the other lids as well. It’s not pretty but until i can find something better, it should work. Original review: we’re using these for pet food storage. Each bin holds about 50 pounds of pet food. With 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 4 parrots we needed one go-to spot for all the different pet foods.

These bins by suncast are a pretty neat deal. I bought them for my wife because she is really into recycling (i’d rather just throw most of that stuff away – nothing against recycling, but it’s just easier and cleaner having once place for all trash). I really like how these are stackable and accessible through the lift lids. They can hold quite a bit of content, but i’d kind of like the openings to be slightly bigger. Although we would prefer other colors, they still look much better than the big plastic tubs she was using before – and they’re easier to access. I would recommend these bins if you’re looking for a recycling bin (or a set of bins) that takes very little square footage due to the vertical stacking design.

But they do a good enough job keeping bugs and mice out. I use these to separate my different dry chicken, dog and cat foods in the garage. I have them stacked 2 high rather than 3, because it is easier to unstack them in order to refill if they are only 2 high. I do wish they were a tad bit sturdier, but they work well enough. The lids do not hold much weight at all, so you will need to be careful about putting heavy things on the top of any free standing one. Weight will cause the hinge in the middle of the lid to bend the wrong way and make it less airtight since the plastic wont go back the way it is supposed to. They are not completely airtight, as i mentioned, but they do a good enough job keeping bugs and mice out.

We are all supposed to do it, but getting the tools to do it right can be expensive. These bins from suncast are affordable and perfect. They stack nicely in the kitchen and each can open without moving the one above. I line them with large black trash sacks. When they are full, i take off the lid and remove the trash bag and replace it with another. The bins stay clean and ready to use again. When i originally started the recycling endeavor i placed the bins in the order of the weight of the products. I have since rearranged my bins to have the cans on the top since it is what we fill up the fastest.

Excellent option for outdoor recycling storage. . Our city recently decided to stop accepting glass in the curb side recycling (arg), so we needed to buy bins to store glass until we could take it to the central recycling facility ourselves. Because we would be storing for several weeks and outside, i wanted something that would be water-tight and weather-proof. I was very pleased with the weight of these bins – they are sturdy and do not bow or deform even when loaded with lots of glass. The lids are also nice and they “snap” open so that you do not have to hold them open to put things in the bins. They will keep the rain out 100%. The only thing that i wish is that the colors were toned down — these are very bright (just as they appear in the photo) and so they don’t look the greatest sitting out front. I saw that some people had bought these to store dog food – i personally would not use them for that purpose as they are not totally air-tight.

I bought these in the hopes of getting my kids to recycle more and reduce the amount of trash we were throwing out every day. I wanted bins that stacked nicely but also closed when not in use. The fact they each bin was a different color was definitely a plus because i could just assign a color to each type of recyclable. I wanted to put the bins on my back porch so that they weren’t taking us space in the house. Right after buying them the weather really allowed me to test whether they actually stay dry or not. My hope was since they closed and appeared to seal somewhat they would for the most part stay dry. The first day they were out there it rained all day. We found that the rain collected heavily on top of each lid so when you opened the lid that water all ran inside. We also found that water did collect a little at the bottom.

Rubbermaid 1799571 Hidden Recycler – A great little bin that makes kitchen recycling easy

Love it, but don’t pack it too tight. Not big enough to fit a pizza box into, but it’ll hold lot of recyclables. Taking it off its hanging over-the-door mount is really easy, as is placing it back on. Since it is flexible, when you push your recyclables down into it, the bag will kind of mold to their shape, making them not want to come out when you empty it. I have to either not pack it quite as tightly and empty it more frequently, or use my hand to pull stuff out. Not a bad thing at all, and it certainly doesn’t detract from the otherwise awesomeness of the product; just something to note.

We’ve been using a paper grocery sack for a recycling bin. Not only does that look messy but our dog has easy access to everything we put in it. This means we have cardboard boxes and plastic packaging used for chew toys and then strewn about the house constantly. This rubbermaid bin is the perfect sution and i love it. The design is actually pretty simple and brilliant, which is a great combination. Our kitchen cabinet under the sink has a disposal on one side and dishwasher plumbing on the other, and this bin fits perfectly. My husband used very short screws to install it on the inside of the cabinet door and it is very secure. The bag is lined and waterproof and has a nifty handle that lifts out while the bracket and lid stay put. It even has a handy little handle on the back to make dumping it really easy.

I elected to mount the recycler to the inside of my under-sink cabinet door. The template did not match the size of my door (which is larger) so adjustments had to be made. You also might try double-sided tape to attach to the door to be sure it opens and closes without rubbing the cabinet face frame before mounting. You have to provide your own screws, being careful to use the right size. The mounting holes on the hanger bracket are very small and i enlarged with my electric drill to accommodate larger screws. We use ours as a trash bin and not for recycles and it works just great. Even though it’s lined, we put in the publix brown grocery bag, fold down the top of the bag a couple inches, and it works just great. Another plus was that the color matched the color scheme of our kitchen, even though it’s behind the door, out of sight. I was a little concerned about the lid when unloading trash into it, but the lid will conveniently stay open until you close it.

  • A great little bin that makes kitchen recycling easy
  • Greatest Contribution to Recycling EVER!
  • Perfect RV trash can!

Perfect out-of-the-way recycling bin. I was previously using a cardboard box for my recycling until my boyfriend accidentally recycled the box. I have a small kitchen in an apartment, so i needed something small and out of the way. It was really easy to put together and hang inside my cabinet with the over the door hooks. It also came with mounting gear if you prefer that. It fits perfectly inside my cabinet. Yes, it’s small, but what would you expect for something that is designed to hang inside a cabinet?.It still fits a good deal of items if you crush/compact them down first. I empty it about once a week (just me in my house). It is really easy to take out too. The bag/handle assembly easily lifts off the rest of the fixture to take to your outside bin. There is even a handle on the bottom of the bag to easily dump it. Then it just slides back on to the lid/door assembly.

Bought a new house and there is no place in any lower cupboard for a recycling bin. Normally i would put it under the sink but the side that doesn’t have the drain has a garbage disposal. All the other cupboards have a fixed shelf in the middle making it impossible to put a bin in them so i ordered this rubbermaid one. It is small enough for me to but on the door under the sink and not hit the drain pipe or garbage disposal but big enough to hold a lot of recyclables. I am happy i purchased this as we just had a plastic container on the floor and my dogs were always interested in sticking their noses in there. This could be dangerous if they were to get a hold of a can with an exposed lid. I would buy this again and recommend it.

We use this as a trash can for our rv (minnie winnie). We installed two camco screen door cross bars, an upper and a lower one. This recycler is hung off of the lower cross bar, so it basically hangs off of the step well and is out of the way while conveniently close to the kitchen. It makes an otherwise unusable space very functional for very little money. When we travel it is easily removed, and we use tall kitchen bags which fit pretty well. We love that it has a lid so you don’t stare at your trash, and the soft side is perfect since we still open and close the door. Because of how we use it, we don’t put alot of heavy things in it, and the size prevents you from overloading it. Since it is on the door, it moves out of the way when you enter/exit the rv.

A great little bin that makes kitchen recycling easy. A great little bin that makes kitchen recycling easy. We previously had a full size trash can for recycling, but that was cumbersome to take out and took up a lot of space in our pantry. We recently bought a new house with a smaller pantry, and i knew i’d have to find a more compact solution. I had seen this in the local box store, but ordered from amazon at a better price. We have it set up with the hooks, because i am not going to drill into my beautiful new cabinets. I did put it on a side cabinet rather than directly under the sink, but only because i have a child lock on my sink cabinet that i do not want to have to unlock every time i have a can or bottle to go in the bin. The hooks in no way interfere with shutting the cabinet door fully, and the small bit of stainless that shows blends into the rest of my appliance finishes. My favorite thing about the bin is the ease with which it is removed. The handle is very convenient, and it slips in and out of the holder without fuss.

I was determined to hang my kitchen trash inside the cabinet door under my sink. This was the perfect solution. Its big enough to work for kitchen trash, unlike some of the other offerings that were only 2 to 3 gallons. It can be hooked over the door to try out and to figure out exactly where to mount. Has ability to permanently mount on the door, but you must provide screws.

Very nice, hardware not complete. Manufacturers should consider what they are making and how most people are going to use it. Cabinet doors are not very thick, a few screws for cabinet doors would make this a complete product.

After a kitchen remodel i had little space left to put a can for recycling. This is the perfect size and easy to install. I used two smallish screws to attach it to the inside of our basement door to keep it out of sight, it holds quite a bit of material before becoming filled to where i need to dump it in the outside recycling bin. The lining is waterproof and it’s washable too. Easy to lift off the hanging bracket to take to the large outdoor bin. I’m really happy with how it works.

What a wonderful item for a phenomenal price. What a wonderful item for a phenomenal price. This holds twice as much as i thought it would. Used in my kitchen for recyclables, no more traipsing outside wityh individual items. Easy empty, stays clean and so well made. Purchased a second one to use as laundry basket for underwear, socks, night clothes and tees and jerseys. They all fit fine for a perfect load.

Really great to have recycling and garbage in one container. Really great to have recycling and garbage in one container. We put the recycling in the top and found a small clear bag that fits; but we don’t replace it every time, just carry it and dump the contents into the big recycler. The bottom we use for garbage and use the standard 13 gal kitchen bags in them. They don’t get as full as they would in a larger container, but my husband always yelled at me for overfilling the bags in the standard size container anyways; this way at least they can still be tied shut. Can open the bottom by leaning against it with your leg so if you are holding say, a bunch of messy chicken scraps you don’t have to get the garbage all messy. The top container lifts off and there is a carry handle for it; the top can reattach to the bottom smelly garbage while you’re carrying the recycling out. The bottom container can lift all the way out (instead of tilting open) if you need a bigger work surface, like when you are emptying a vaccum container into the garbage – but i think that’s the only time i ever take it out all the way, except for taking the bag out.

This bag is the perfect solution for us as renters. This bag is the perfect solution for us as renters. The bag is a great weight, very easy to unhook and empty, and doesn’t let any leaks get into the cabinet. I do put a recycling bag inside this one for greater ease in changing out our compost. We have another for recycle items which, after being rinsed clean, sometimes leave a few drips. Usually i have a regular plastic garbage bag inside this one and just empty that into our regular recycle bins in the garage. When the extra bag is forgotten, however, this bag keeps any drips inside.

Love it, but don’t pack it too tight. Not big enough to fit a pizza box into, but it’ll hold lot of recyclables. Easy to mount, time saver, and perfect for hiding unsightly recyclable material. These fit perfectly on the cabinet door below my kitchen sink and laundry room sink. It’s easy to mount and holds a little less than a brown paper bag (grocery store bag) of recyclable material. When the bag is full, i just grab it by the handle and go dump my recyclables in a bin in the garage. Its snaps back in place very easily. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to save time and hide an unsightly recycle bin in the house. Just remember, you’ll have to make space under the sink to close the cabinet door when the bag is full. Losing some space under the kitchen sink and laundry sink was worth it to me.

Wish i’d bought this years ago. The only minor inconvenience is the fact that the handles on the bottom unit will be covered by a bag (if you choose to use one). So when you’re ready to take the trash/recycling out, you either have to carry it by the lip of the can, or remove the bag a bit to get to the handles. But like i said, it’s a minor inconvenience, and due to the smaller size, the can is unlikely to get so heavy that you can’t carry it by the lip. Other than that one tiny design flaw, this is the perfect trash can/recycler for someone like myself who lives in an apartment building that does not offer single stream recycling. It’s a good size, not too big or too little, and is far more aesthetically pleasing than my previous set up consisting of two mismatched trash cans. Love it, highly recommend it, and it’s probably my favorite household purchase in a long while.
