Star Wars Classic Resin Wastebasket – Smaller than you think, still great.

Smaller than you think, still great. . A little smaller than i thought it would be, but it’s still fine. Looks great in my star wars themed bathroom.

Everyone on team dark side is jealous of my bath mat. I have a tiny bathroom and it fits perfectly.

This is a soft rug for any star wars fan. I gave it as a gift, and the recipient was happy with the novelty of it. The shape is the most awkward part of the rug, since the top of vader’s helmet is rounded rather than flat. When used by a sink, the rug would not be able to go flush against an under-sink cabinet. Its still a great piece to complete any collection or add some fandom humor to a room. Here are the specifications for the Star Wars Classic Resin Wastebasket:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • Light weight acrylic
  • Imagery from the original films
  • Great for any bathroom, bedroom, or home office

This shower curtain is amazing. It is polyester and shines in the light. Feels very well built and should last a long time.

Thin instead of thick and cottony everything else is great and as described. Aside from the fabric feeling nylony and thin instead of thick and cottony everything else is great and as described. The graphic is really defined so it doesn’t look cheap. The colors are vivid and true to he picture.

  • Very Cool for Star Wars Themed Room
  • Smaller then imagined

What i was expecting but that doesn’t make a bad product. It will possibly hold 2 gallons of. Just a little smaller than what i was expecting but that doesn’t make a bad product. It will possibly hold 2 gallons of whatever liquid you choose.

Doesn’t come in a retail package. Just some generic brown box.

This small waste basket is adorable. Its sturdy and not cheap looking. The colors are bright and it looks just like the picture.

I am your toothbrush holder. The perfect piece to finish our star wars bathroom. Even my battery operated tooth brush fits and it’s hard to find holders for those.

Got this for our bathroom and it’s perfect. Matches our toothbrush holder that we got at walmart. I did have to water down our hand soap just a little to have the soap actually come out like it should, but other than that it’s awesome and we all love it in this house.Pump is easy enough to push down for my 4 year old as well so this is a true win all around for us.

Very cool for star wars themed room. We are re-decorating our sons room and the new theme is star wars. This was a very nice touch and it looks great. He loves it and actually uses it for his trash now instead of complaining about walking to the kitchen.

Norpro 92 Super Stuffer, Silly but absolutely practical

Definitely a ‘super stuffer’. This is an item i have had in both kitchens for many years as it does exactly what it says ‘mainly that it prevents silverware from getting into the disposer and keeps the splatters in the disposal, not back into the sink. ‘ however, this is a replacement b/c it becomes stained and unsightly after a few years. Also, i had one that took on water while being washed in the dishwasher, unsanitary.

My mother-in-law liked it so much i purchased one for her. . It is a simple device, no assembly required. It does what it is designed for – stuffing garbage down the disposal. It doesn’t handle very small pieces, but i just use the sink sprayer after pushing the larger chunks down with the norpro. It is designed so that one cannot push it too far to get caught in the disposal blades. It stops right before contacting the blades. I would recommend this unit if you don’t feel comfortable using your hands or a knife to push down the debris. It is a much safer way to handle debris down the disposal. I spoke with my mother-in-law to get her opinion.

While i like it and it works well at keeping fingers out. I’ve had two of these and, while i like it and it works well at keeping fingers out of the disposer and allows water to drain, both have always filled with water almost immediately; not being a good thing, i have pushed two pin holes into the bottom so the water drains out. I put it into the dishwasher each time i do a load so i’m hoping that keeps bacteria at bay somewhat. . I will probably not buy another one.

Comments from buyers

“Does the job. My mother-in-law liked it so much I purchased one for her., Works and Looks great!, Finally, a way to get kids to put their plate scrapes down the disposal”

I’ve had one of these for more than 10 years, and have appreciated how it keeps the spoons out of the garbage disposal. It eventually cracked, but worked well anyway. The crack caused it to retain water, which actually did help it to stay in the drain. I had forgotten that it is light weight, and floats up out of the drain when using the sink. Now that i have the new one, l have been reminded. Nevertheless, i am glad that i got a new one. Perhaps they will make it a bit heavier after reading my review?.

Both my wife and i have mixed feelings about this product. It does work well for poking scraps down the drain. However, because it protrudes significant up from the drain it must frequently be removed to use a drainer or to set a pot in the sink for soaking or washing. Additionally, we discovered the hard way that a teaspoon can easily slide by into the disposer and out of sight.

While i like it and it works well at keeping fingers out. I’ve had two of these and, while i like it and it works well at keeping fingers out of the disposer and allows water to drain, both have always filled with water almost immediately; not being a good thing, i have pushed two pin holes into the bottom so the water drains out. Silly but absolutely practical. This was such a silly purchase. I bought it to stuff garbage down my disposal. It really does do a better job than my fingers and it is definitely safer. Now i keep it in my disposal opening and it keeps things from falling in by accident.

This is a fantastic little product that keeps hands safe when shoving food into the disposer. With the quieter disposer models, the rubber drain baffles are not as flexible this helps get food into the drain safely.

Had one of these many years ago and i’ve searched for another one for ages, and nobody seemed to carry them (even bb&b). Keeps silverware and most other small parts from going into the disposal, and you can use it to push vegetable clippings, etc. Into the disposal instead of using your hands or other utensil. It sits up quite high in the sink, so if you tend to set pots or plates in the sink, they won’t sit flat. It’s hollow and sealed, so if you pour a lot of water into the sink at one time (for example, dumping out a pan of pasta water) the super stuffer bobs up.

Finally, a way to get kids to put their plate scrapes down the disposal. This stuffer solved two problems in our household: 1) kids dropping silverware down the disposal; and 2) kids refusing to push their plate scraps down the disposal. Saving your silverware by using this is a no-brainer. And now kids scrape their plates correctly—since they can use the stuffer to push the ‘gross’ scraps down without touching them or wasting 30 gallons of water from the sprayer. I haven’t had any issues where any water gets trapped inside the stuffer. My only complaint is that the plastic does show some staining. I toss it in the dishwasher or give it a quick scrub with cleanser and it’s good as new. I wish it didn’t stick up quite so far, but it’s designed that way so there is room for smaller food to flow around the fins and down the disposal without removing it entirely.

Hi allsince the topic is about garbage, i’ll try not to write a too glowing review?. Well just love that all white color considering the topic (such a bright and clean look) really helps cheer up this unpleasant task. I use it often, never touches anything (the garbage dispenser blades and very easy to rinse clean; nothing much or anything seems to cling to it). Also, it has that big top handle for a comfortable and strong grip; it quickly and securely moves the way i direct it (no problems, everything is easily and thoroughly completed (no mess)). Tip: i have a preserve blue drinking cup and a leftover glad small container in which i put the drinking cup and then the white stuffer. I just prefer that it stay vertical (easy to grasp) and not lie around in some small tray. Also, ziploc has it’s (ziploc twist n loc – medium size tall container) which has a nice fit. I first saw this item (or one very much like it) over 20 years ago and i’ve been searching for it ever since. I bought something similar not too long ago that had a scraper on the end, but it wasn’t good at pushing food scraps down and was very uncomfortable to hold by a little knob at the top. While the purpose of this device is to stuff food into the disposal, i like to leave it in the drain because it’s also great at preventing silverware and other small items from falling in. Unfortunately, though, when i run water in the sink, the super stuffer floats out of the drain, defeating the purpose of keeping it in there. I’m considering drilling holes in the bottom and top to let air pass through, but then i worry that food bits will get in there and stink it up.

This is identical to a previous item that we had for 5 – 6 years and which was beginning to deteriorate. You can push stuff into the disposal without getting your hands covered with crud or risking your fingers. Leave it in the sink to keep items that could be ruined if they fall into the disposal or for that matter could wreck the disposal. It isn’t a stopper so water will drain from the sink while it is in place so you can run the disposal with it in place. It has certainly stopped me from dumping cutlery into a running disposal. This is an inexpensive useful gadget.

But it actually fits and works fine. This product seemed almost too large for the opening in my disposal, but it actually fits and works fine. From time to time we have put it in the dishwasher because it tends to get soiled, but it comes out sparkling clean.

She was using a plastic bucket. Very attractive with the copper finish. Bought based on premise that the ceramic ones were much heavier. Now her countertop looks beautiful once again and no more pesky fruit flies.

This is an awesome and practical way to place my fresh compost items. This is an awesome and practical way to place my fresh compost items in house, until able to place in compost pile outside. No odor and very pretty in kitchen.

Pricey for a refuse bin, but it’s so cute. I felt a little extravagant paying an extra $10 for copper finish on a bin for potato peels. But it looks so pretty on the counter. Lightweight, strong, easy to wash. We don’t bother with the charcoal filters; we just empty the thing instead.

Pieces in there) and the lid comes off very easy which is handy when busy prepping or if you. There is absolutely no smell (even with onion peels and pieces in there) and the lid comes off very easy which is handy when busy prepping or if you have hand problems like me. The only issue i have is that mine came with some rub marks on it so the finish is not that great, however, that was not enough to make me go through the trouble of returning. Because of that i do not think i would buy again.

How crazy can you be about something that holds rotting food?. I like it, very attractive and does the trick. If only it came with someone to take this out to our green waste bin in the dark.

Estilo Round Brushed Stainless Steel Step Trash Can 5L – Litter Keeper move over

I’d order again, ok product.

Looks great but the cover often gets stuck and then it can be hard to open with the pedal.

Not sure i would buy it again.

Great little trashcan that’s well-made and sturdy. Only bad thing is that the lid doesn’t close completely to seal off odors, etc (i use it for doing acrylic nails with noxious chemicals).

This is the perfect size for out bathroom. And having a lid means it will contain any smells too. It looks so pretty and it has a hook you can use to pick it up and carry it by. And of course the step opener is neat. You don’t have to touch the trash can at all with your hands, except to empty it. Emptying it is easy too as it has a little removable can inside you just lift out and dump. Very nicei received a free or discounted product in exchange for an unbiased review.

I bought two of these garbage cans for kitty litter waste, and these work much better than the ‘litter keepers’. Perfect size for plastic bags (from store-bought items).

Commercial Zone Site Saver Smokers Outpost – Site Saver Receptacle

Product is exactly as described and looks great. Nice to hide the butts and cuts out the smell.

I got this for the aa group at our church. The design complements the church exterior, and it seems very well-built. I wish there was more than one hole for inserting cigarettes, though.

I like the pail at the bottom to empty ashes and. This thing works really well. It is high quality and smokers seem to use it with ease and without fuss. I like the pail at the bottom to empty ashes and i think this will make a great addition to anyone’s home or office where applicable.

  • No more picking up cigarette butts!
  • are supposed to go – but – it’s a good product all the same
  • A lifesaver for whomever kept choosing to throw cigs by the pool

Are supposed to go – but – it’s a good product all the same. My idiot employees still don’t get the butts where they are supposed to go – but – it’s a good product all the same.

We live in an apartment and my. We live in an apartment and my husband smokes. We put this outside our front door next to our rocker and it fit and looks perfect. I will eliminate any cigarette butts outside our door and is very easy to dispose of the butts in the metal bucket inside.

A lifesaver for whomever kept choosing to throw cigs by the pool. Yes, there are work associates invited to my home once or twice a year to lounge in the pool. And these receptacles saved there life. Well, not really, but it kept them from seeing me go all ‘spark-zilla’ on them. Ashtrays i guess were just not attractive enough for them. But, since i put two of these out back, i haven’t found another errant half burned cigarette but. Plus, they don’t look bad at all. (i may add sand to them though, as they are lighter than one would expect. )they were so easy to put together, i thought i may have not done it right. You just pop the top on and it stays.

Don’t understand the big price difference for color??considered buying 2 at once.

I got this, because i couldn’t stand my husband’s cig. Butts finding their way into my garden and yard. We had tried the bucket thing, but my 2 year old won’t stay out of it. It is in a sheltered area under a porch, but i do believe it to be wind/water resistent. I know it could be anchored if need be, and it comes with the metal bucket that is pretty big, so it doesn’t have the be changed too often. I would think this should do us till we die, and i don’t have to look at butts in the yard or drive or have little one’s playing in them.

The top of the item doesn’t stay snapped down all the way. When u snap it it will pop up. I was going to return it but it isn’t that obvious and the top does stay on even though one corner isn’t staying on.

This is a must for anyone that smokes outdoors. I purchased 2 one for my daughter to use on her patio and one for my patio. Prevents smokers from putting their butts everywhere. Easy to maintain and keep clean the bucket is easy to empty and is fireproof.

Exactly what i needed for apartment. Needed to keep cig butts out of the lawn and live on the 2nd story of an apartment. Metal bucket in the bottom catches cigarettes. Only once did it get so full that some stayed lit on fire but without oxygen nothing happened. Plus the metal bucket kept the fire contained. This is exactly what i wanted at 1/3 the price of the ones you see outside bars. It has no attachment to keep it from getting stolen and does not weigh a lot but i don’t see many people stealing a smokers outpost. Just pop off the top and there’s the bucket with a handle. Use a paper towel to grab the bucket because it’ll be coated in cigarette smoke/tar and smell real bad.

No more picking up cigarette butts. No longer do i have to pick up cigarette butts. Only issue is this thing periodically fills up with water and needs to be emptied. Other than that it serves its purpose and even came with an aluminum pale catch basin. Everyone in the neighborhood asks where i got this from. Everyone thinks it would costs much more. Great deal and a great product. Now if only i could get my mom to stop smoking.

Product is exactly as described and looks great. Nice to hide the butts and cuts out the smell.

I would suggest to add sand to the bucket if you live in a windy place because they are plastic and lightweight. Also you should use these with caution. I noticed that my receptacle was smoking one day and when i opened it up i had a little fire going. I am still pleased with them though. Its better than ashtrays because the wind always blew cigarette butts all over my yard before i purchased these.

Are supposed to go – but – it’s a good product all the same. My idiot employees still don’t get the butts where they are supposed to go – but – it’s a good product all the same.

I’ve had it for a year or so, and it does the job ok. The upper portion pops off to expose the inner metal bucket allowing you to empty it. That upper section doesn’t look like its seated or fits properly when installed, but it seems to snap down and hold ok until the next time its emptied. I have a bunch of sand weighting down the unit, and that’s definitely needed. Its inside the plastic housing, raising the metal bucket up about 6′ – but it still fits ok since the bucket is a little narrower than the plastic housing.

I got this for the aa group at our church. The design complements the church exterior, and it seems very well-built. I wish there was more than one hole for inserting cigarettes, though.

I had been keeping an eye out in the stores for the past few years for one of these. They should be available everywhere, right?. And the prices i had seen on-line were outrageous. When i saw the price on this i thought it might be flimsy, but it is sturdy and stable. We added sand generously to the base (beneath the included metal pail) and the first weekend that we had it outside we saw a fierce storm. This smokers outpost didn’t budge and the butts inside remained dry. I won’t miss that wet cigarette smell from the ashtray when i go outside to grill now.

Norpro 1 Gallon Ceramic Compost Keeper : If you dump your compost keeper every day or two, this is a nice product.

The perfect complement to my outdoor composter. I bought this ceramic compost keeper, because i was not willing to pay for the stainless steel version. The only disadvantage i can see about this one is the possibility of chipping it; however, it’s just a matter of handling it with care. I initially selected red, because i wanted to buy it directly from amazon. At that point they weren’t selling the white one that i could find. It turns out i love the red one; it adds a little bright spot to my kitchen that is probably good feng shui. I am finally using the outdoor compost bin that i paid quite a bit of $$ for. I could not get in the habit of using the outdoor bin without something to ‘catch the scraps’ in the kitchen. This is the perfect motivator. I got the book, let it rot, to help me learn how to do things ‘properly’.

Attractive but not funtiona. Compost looks good on my black counter top. Wish it was larger as we eat a lot of vegetables and fill it every day. The handle is not functional. The hooks always slip off and are useless. We do not have room under the sink for a larger container. Looking for a better compost keeper.

I purchased this and another compost keeper. If you aren’t planning on carrying out the container to your composter and/or use a liner then this will work just fine. However, sometimes, the bio bags start composting by the end of the day or leak and you need to take the container out and this just isn’t one for that. So, if this is only staying on your counter and you have a routine that works with that, this is awesome. For me, i keep the addable french inspired painted steel one to use on a daily basis and this as a back up (plan on rinsing and airing them in the sun occasionally).

Clean, simple lines for useful crock. This black compost crock is beautiful in my newly remodeled kitchen. I had to put felt pads on the bottom as it left scratch marks on the new countertop (also black). Works as well as the old crock but just prettier.

Works great if you can keep the lid off. When we first decided to start vermicomposting, we knew we needed something to contain our kitchen scraps for the week so as not to disturb our worm community too much. We decided on this compost keeper because the price was right, the reviews were pretty good and the color went well with our decor. It ended up being perfect for our needs but we don’t use it exactly as it is intended. The design fit right in with my lineup of white porcelain bowls and cake stands. It looks like it was meant to be displayed with them, just as i’d hoped. The size is perfect for about a week of scraps from two people. We eat a good amount of vegetables, though. If you are more than two people and eat a ton of veggies, you’d be emptying this pretty frequently, so i might consider a larger size. Lastly, the handle makes it easy to pick up and bring out to the composter. Even though it’s just a thick wire bent around two nubs, the handle on our piece seems to be fitted well. It doesn’t look like it’ll slip off unless we really force it, and the handle itself is thick enough that we wont bend it on accident. Now for what i didn’t care for. I believe the intent of this compost keeper was to hide your kitchen scraps while still allowing them to breathe through the little holes in the lid.

Bought it for my folks – the color is perfect for their kitchen. They are just starting the compost journey – and are thrilled with how easy it is to use. They filled it up in 2 days. Super durable, easy to clean. Looks beautiful on the counter top – i have a white one on my counter.

Cute and practical little pot. . We recently purchased a house with a huge garden and a compost bin so i really wanted to compost all my vegetable scraps. This works perfectly for that. I fill it up and then take it out and dump it. For as small as it is it holds a lot of scraps. My only complaint is that it stains. I have had this for a few months and the inside is stained from coffee and tea grounds. I never let my scraps sit for more than a day and always wash it with warm soapy water and can’t seem to get rid of the stains. Oh well at least it is just the inside stained.

Lid lasted for about 16 months. I really wanted a black compost counter bin because our counters and backsplash are very dark and i didn’t want this to be a prominent part of our decor. I was warned by some friends (just after i placed the order) that the lid would break. Sure enough, a piece about 1 inch across chipped off the lid within about 6 months. I glued it back in place, and the rubber gasket helped keep it in place (it also acts as a little bit of a shock-absorber too). But now, 16 months later, the lid’s rim has chipped again and the whole lid has cracked in half so i am going to have to get another one. I’m going to get a black metal one that will come to almost $50 with shipping, but i know it won’t break after less than a year and a half.

If you dump your compost keeper every day or two, this is a nice product. . This is a good compost keeper for use on your counter top. What i like most is the attractive, bright red design. The size is also perfect for use next to the kitchen sink. Also, the cost for this keeper is $10-15 less than only slightly better products i had found. However, the vented top with ‘filter’ is not as nice as i had hoped. The filter is not very substantial and it is held in place by pressing the filter into the slightly smaller sized top. The filter has stayed in place, so far, but i keep expecting it to fall out when i open the lid. The filter does not keep the compost from smelling after more than a couple days. Also, the handle is held to the side by simply twisting around the post (see product photo).

Nice product but if i did it over again – stainless. I purchased this product after already owning the stainless version for a year. I gave the stainless to someone else because this white ceramic pedestal – looking object seemed to fit with my decor better. But what i’ve found is, (1) i am for the first time a bit nervous about breaking it or breaking glass tea pots when i shake the loose tea into this container, (2) it is certainly heavier than the stainless when lugging it (the weight is not a deal breaker), and (3) it does not seem to seal around the edge of the top anywhere as well as its stainless counterpart resulting in fruit flies getting attracted to it and actually inside on a regular basis – something that seemed to happen less with the stainless one. So carbon filter helps a lot but the leaky cover undermines the filter. Still compared to not having either choice and seeing how nicely made this object is, it gets the benefit of just over half credit in my scoring. I’d go back to stainless in a heartbeat when i feel the moment has come.

Like the other reviewer i find the handle comes off all the time, but i didn’t mind the look at all. It is virtually odorless, even when almost overflowing, and i stick the filter right in the dishwasher from time to time. I have only handwashed the crock, but it is easy to care for. I’m happy with it, and am not making hardly any waste since it arrived.

It looks nice other than one side of it has a lot. I just received this item yesterday (a day earlier than i expected – that was nice). It looks nice other than one side of it has a lot of tiny holes in the porcelain. I was pretty disappointed to see that. I don’t know how the item works yet as i just got it, but wanted to comment on the look of it.

Rubbermaid Commercial Brute LLDPE Round Container : I like it and it hold trash very well

Great garbage can at a great price. I bought 12 of these along with the bottom dollies (wheels) for one of our elementary schools. We put a couple of them in each hall and have the students empty the classroom wastebaskets into them. At night the custodian just wheels them outside to the dumpster and empties them. These hold a lot of garbage and are very, very durable. Actually when full of garbage they are too heavy to lift up and dump into the dumpster but we use can liners and just pull them out of the can. I’m sure they will last a long time. Buying on amazon saved us money. They were less expensive than all the distributors in our area and anywhere else i looked online. Very happy with our purchase.

Really smaller than i imagined. It’s very short and only fit two full kitchen trash bags. I’m sure i could smash more in there, but just as it two bags will go in. The quality isn’t bad, but i wasn’t expecting it to be so small. It also comes in a huuuge packing box with lots and lots of paper. You end up with more trash than the trash can will hold when you order this.

  • Heavy-duty, reinforced base holds up even when the garbage can is dragged over rough surfaces
  • Easy-to-clean, seamless construction is guaranteed to never fade, warp, crack, or crush and features a UV inhibitor for a long-life even in extreme environments

Ain’t the prettiest but it’s durable. I’ve lived in a house now for 5 years and i’ve been through 2 garbage cans. Sanitation men don’t have the time to pick up your garbage and nicely place that can on the curb nicely. Both garbage cans that i owned just couldn’t take the abuse. I’ve only had this can for a short time, but i can tell it take a beating. Both with the weather and the sanitation man. Sure it reminds of the janitor’s can from grade school. At the same time, it’s a garbage can. Do your job: hold garbage, make sure the lid is tight enough so the raccoons can’t get to them, hold up with weather changes, and be durable.

I think that this is the answer to a sturdy garden waste can at an affordable price. I think that this is the answer to a sturdy garden waste can at an affordable price. It took a lot of looking on the amazon site as there are just too many to choose from. Some are way too expensive, some are too small, some are too large and some are just right like this one. Actually i bought two and may go back for seconds.

I like it and it hold trash very well. It’s a trash can, not sure what there is to say, but yes, i like it and it hold trash very well. ? i do think it’s dumb that they sell the lid separately. I bet they’d be money ahead if they just included it.

Durable; good luck finding a lid that closes securely; it takes a 37 gallon liner bag or the seams will rip. Could not find a grey lid to match so wound up with a green one: rubbermaid commercial fg263100dgrn brute hdpe lid for round waste. That is too large, see my review of it if they printed it, which i doubt, because it was ‘not very nice’ [‘view tips and guidelines’. Ok this is a nice rugged rubbermaid base but why sell it without the lid???.Why make us guess whether a lid that says it fits a 32 gallon base will fit snugly?. The one i ordered did not fit snugly so i have a swell base with a tipsy top. If all you want is a tough base with no lid, this one is fine, though expensive. I don’t know what else to say about it. Only comes in a few weird colors?. Oh, i takes a 37 gallon hefty or similar bag– have tried all other sizes, really, and only 37 works without tearing a seam. Let’s see if they print this. ]

I bought two of the 10 gallon cans for my aquarium water changes (one for drain, one for new water). They are absolutely perfect, great little garbage cans and very sturdy. The 10 gallon is a great size if you have a 50 gallon tank or smaller and can be carried while full of water. A 20 gallon full of water would probably be too heavy for most people to lift. If you have a 100+ gallon aquarium i would recommend one of the larger cans with the wheels.

My favorite part of owning this trash can was the way. My favorite part of owning this trash can was the way it was shipped. It was just sitting inside a large cardboard box. No packing materials, no wrapping, just sitting there. I found it funnier than it should have been. I guess i like the little hooks next to the handles that help hold in the bags?. There’s a pro if i’ve ever seen one.

Space-saving and high quality made us choose these containers. . We bought three of these containers with lids to store our wild bird seed, laying pellets and hen scratch. They easily hold a fifty-pound sack of feed and the lids fit securely. We chose these because of their space saving feature and that they are stackable. Perfect for our garage and still allows parking space for a large sedan.

Nine Stars DZT-8-1 Infrared Touchless Stainless Steel Trash Can – Automatic garbage can

I was able to glue it and it works fine. One came broken but i was able to glue it and it works fine now.

Very overpriced compared to others. Nice removable bin though. . I like it, but a lot smaller than expected. Honestly, i have found others for a lot cheaper. I would say look around before you buy, even though this is a best seller. I’ve had it for a while and the batteries seem to be holding up well. I do like that it has a removable piece. I just wish a garbage bag would fit in it better.

I purchased the small nine stars automatic garbage can for our 5th wheel trailer. It is the perfect size for a day or a day 1/2 of grabage. It is super simple to operate. You can even open it by using your knee to block the blinking light, and voila, it opens. If i had use for another garbage can of this sort at my house, i wouldn’t hesistate to purchase another. But, the garbage can at home is on the door of my cabinet. Here are the specifications for the Nine Stars DZT-8-1 Infrared Touchless Stainless Steel Trash Can:

  • Enter your model number

  • STAINLESS STEEL/100%
  • Imported
  • Seals odor in and eliminates cross-contamination of germs with touch-free operation
  • Water resistant infrared motion sensor detects motion within inches of sensor range,Comes with inner plastic liner for easy cleaning
  • The model name shows DZT-8-1A and DZT-8-1C is the same model, in general item name as DZT-8-1
  • Anti-fingerprint stainless steel construction with compact design that can be used under the kitchen cabinet or in bathroom
  • Measures 7.2-inch D by 11.3-inch W by 13.7-inch H; 4.2 pounds; 1-year warranty

The more expensive cans close tighter, this one is. The more expensive cans close tighter, this one is only ok and my dog is quickly figuring out that sometimes it doesn’t close tight and she can get a paw in there to lift the lid. If you want to keep a dog out go with the more expensive ones.

Love this basket – don’t have to touch container or lid with hands. Only drawback is finding a plastic bag to put inside of the insert that fits properly and i prefer to use another bag inside to avoid having to constantly wash the insert. But small size bags can be fashioned to fit with some overlap but nothing shows outside of the container. I’m actually using it in the bedroom instead of a regular small wastebasket.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Love it it is so cute — and keeps Bathroom trash covered.
  • but removing and replacing the batteries clears its system and it again works fine for a long time
  • One major flaw that caused all the headache. Everything else was OK. Need to go back to the drawing board.

I bought this for recycle to save myself from having to run to the garage every time i wanted to throw something into the recycle bin. Love that it has a pail inside with a handle for easy transport. Won’t be without this type of touchless can again.

I have 2 of the smaller ones in my bathrooms. They should have these in dr/s offices. You don’t need to touch anything. It looks wonderful and the batteries last a long time. I have even had a diaper in there and it kept the smell out of the bathroom. One tip for the manufacturer. I had to return 2 because the stainless steel was dented when i opened the package.

But removing and replacing the batteries clears its system and it again works fine for a long time. I bought two of these in sept. They both worked well for a couple a weeks then one of them developed a problem sensing when to open and then sensing when to close. We usually found we had to manually open and close it. If the batteries were removed and reinstalled it would work correctly a time or two. We have one of this firms tall kitchen trashcans an about and about every three months it starts having problems sensing when to open and close, but removing and replacing the batteries clears its system and it again works fine for a long time. Anyway we finally got tired of this one not working and trashed it. Because we have had pretty good luck with the other dzt-8-1 and the kitchen can we just bought another dzt-8-1 and it is working fine so far. My suggestion is if you buy one of these and it seems to have a problem sensing when to open and close send it back right away.

The on switch is in a bad pace-when you push the can against the wall it trips the switch off-its amazing that product designers fail to test those features. The other minor but annoying part is-when the inner bucket is lifted it creates a vacuum and will not release easily. Also-very basic and could be easily fixed by simple vent system to allow air fill the void. It looks good so there must have been some effort put into it, just not the kind that would allow it to function well.

How to use a liner in a small trash can. I really like this trash can and it works well. Several reviewers complained about the inability to use a liner in it. I solved that problem by inserting a small trash bag (4 gallon size) into the removable container and placing a large rubber band around the container and pulling the band down so that all the excess plastic was pulled down into the container. This works perfectly, and most times i can just empty the contents into the trash and reuse the liner. It is also possible to grab the handle through the plastic liner in order to remove the container.

I was able to glue it and it works fine. One came broken but i was able to glue it and it works fine now.

I was just replacing one because i broke the lid. Had the first one for 4 yrs +.

I can have handfuls of scraps and. I bought this to use as a compost bin. I can have handfuls of scraps and it pops right open and closes without my having to touch it. It’s just the right size to hold three days worth of compost scraps. It’s too early to say if it’ll keep out the fruit flies of summer but i suspect it will.

Only trash can my dog can’t get into. No more bathroom trash strewn around the house by over inquisitive dog.

But i had to change from my original purpose because the closed atmosphere made things get smelly after several days. This is probably best for emptying every other day or less. Occasionally a cat tail will swipe across and the door opens. Cat, of course goes running for dear life. Not that it’s noisey, but it is a different sound. Great can and nicely made, no loose parts or squeaks, etc.

Not sure this is new, disappointed. I received this product today. I noticed the internal plastic basket has multiple scratches on the inside bottom as though this is a used unit. This could not be a new unit from the way this looks. It is just too much of a pain to repack and return the unit and will think about returning this if it is not too much of a hassle. Needless to say, we are disappointed with the product and wonder how this can pass quality control.

Excellent quality, highly recommend this company over others. This is the third touchless trash can i have bought (i have bought 2 small sizes, one i no longer have and this one that i still have today, and i currently also still have a big 13 gallon one), and this company (nine stars) is the best i have tried. My first touchless trash can, a 13 gallon nine stars trash can that i have had since 2009, is still going, no defects, no deterioration in the electronic performance. After owning that 13 gallon one for some time with no problems, about two years ago i decided to buy a small sized touchless trash can for the bathroom. I first purchased a small version from a different company (not nine stars) and though it was nice looking, it stopped working after less than a year. It was also never really great in its performance, the lid always popped up too aggressively, and then popped down too aggressively, as though the motion of opening and closing were not smooth. Then when that small trash can stopped working one day, i bought this nine stars small trash can, and it has worked flawlessly and nicely for almost a year now. The lid opens and closes very smoothly, not like the other one that was hyper aggressive. The one thing that i don’t like that much about this trash can is its lid style. The other one was better looking, but this one doesn’t look bad, and with its better performance, i am very happy with it.

This trash can is a great size to fit between the toilet and the wall, without being too small. It opens quickly, but like others have mentioned, it does make a mechanical noise, then a ‘click’ when it closes. It’s still quieter than the old foot pedal trash can that this one was purchased as a replacement for. So far i have no complaints and it’s exactly what i was expecting and hoping for.

The more expensive cans close tighter, this one is. The more expensive cans close tighter, this one is only ok and my dog is quickly figuring out that sometimes it doesn’t close tight and she can get a paw in there to lift the lid. If you want to keep a dog out go with the more expensive ones.
