Spectrum Diversified Over-The-Cabinet Door Trash Bag Holder : Great to just use a small bag during prep/cooking

It seems sturdy, good quality and like it would work great, if i could use it. It simply does not fit under my sink or over any cabinet door in my home. I didn’t bother to send it back as i offered it to a friend who wanted one. Unfortunately it doesn’t work for her either.

I’m a full time rv’er, and i’ve been using this for about 4 months straight now. I was originally worried it would be one of those things that would work great for a couple of months and then break in half, but that hasn’t happened. It seems to be sturdy enough to work fine for some time, especially if you only go rv’ing every now and then. As far as functionality goes, it does just what it’s supposed to. It always hold the grocery bags in place while i’m driving and while parked. Based on my experience, i recommend this.

  • Mounts over cabinet doors
  • A great way to reuse plastic grocery bags
  • Padded foam backing protects against scratches
  • Sturdy steel construction
  • 8.5″L x 8.25″W x 2.25″H

Could use a longer lip in the back to hold it securely. It does work in our camper, but the lip on the back needs to be a bit longer. Our cabinets are tapered along the edges (i think most are), so the bag holder tips forward when the cabinet door is open. It still functions, but is very annoying when it moves around each time you open the door. I think we’ll try to extend the back lip ourselves, at some point, since it was pretty inexpensive in the first place. However, the plastic coating seems to hold up well, and it’s pretty heavy duty for the price. We’ve used grocery bags on it easily, and will continue to use it.

Grocery bag holdergarbage bag, perfect. I originally purchased this grocery bag holder to use in our travel trailer. It seems as though we are always looking for something that will occupy as little space as possible and do what we need it to do. Although it didn’t fit on the inside of our tt kitchen cabinet (the underneath of the sink got in the way) i was still able to use it at home in our kitchen. It works great for when i am cooking and need a garbage bag closeby. I hate throwing all those grocery bags away and this is a perfect use for them.

Spectrum designs 65400 over-the-cabinet door trash bag holder. Absolutely the greatest little invention. I get to recycle all my plastic grocery bags for trash and i don’t have to buy trash bags. All you do is, put it on the door, done.On the other cabinet door, i have a trash bag holder. Looked all over for one of these and only amazon. Com had it for a very reasonable price of $6.

Spectrum Diversified Over-The-Cabinet Door Trash Bag Holder, White : More products like this, please. There is no front bar to get in the way and i can fill up a huge plastic grocery bag to the brim with recycling and it’s easier to take it off than it is to take it out of a can. My application is working ok, but this is clearly designed for smaller bags, like the small grocery disposable bags. They should make another one for a wider aperture for bigger bags so it’s a little easier to chuck a bottle in from further away. I wish they had one you could screw to a cabinet. I have this one hanging off the back of a chair.

I use this all the time and i’m so glad to have finally found this. I can’t believe something so simple was so hard to find at the stores. I use this attached to the cabinet under my sink. Plastic grocery bags work perfectly. There is no issue with the weight of the bag-it holds well.

Over-the-cabinet bag holder works better than my old one. I was looking around for a bag holder to replace one that inadvertently got thrown away. The spectrum designs over-the-cabinet holder fits over the edge of the cabinet door. You can put it inside or outside the cabinet. And it looks a lot better than the plastic one i had.

Pros:-easy to use and makes for quick disposal when using countertop as prep area. – keeps store bags off of cabinets and fits them perfectly(can even slightly adjust store bags within it by looping it around the knobs once more. -trashbag stays off the ground so ants can’t get to itcons:- ends are easy to walk into (padded but being poked by the rounded end still hurts)had a problem with ants and other bugs congregating under any trash can we get because we live in rural south florida and we have critters that always get into the house somehow. Being clumsy i often forget that we have the hanger there because it is so unobtrusive and walk into it forgetting completely that it is there except when i need to use it.

What it lacks in lid and base, it compensates for in convenience: no lid to lift, no frame to clean. A screw-on model is better long term if you want your cupboard doors to close perfectly with no tell-tale tongue. But, until you get motivated with your drill and screwdriver, just use these.

I use it under the kitchen sink and my dogs no longer tip over the garbage can and start making a mess. I also love the fact that i can use up all those grocery bags that build up. The only drawback would be is if you have a family or create a lot of garbage the grocery bags fill up fast and it might not make sense for you.

Just check that your sink bottom is not below the top of the cabinet door like i didn’t do. Heavy, solid, fits most of our kitchen cabinet doors. We intended to use it on the cabinet door beneath our sink however it was about an inch too high and didn’t clear the sink when we closed the door, not a fault of the product, just check that your sink bottom is not below the top of the cabinet door like i didn’t do.

It leaves the plastic bag wide open and prevents it from touching the door of the cabinet, which is exactly was i was looking for. Just make a mental note that it’s there after you put it up. Edit: to be clear, i needed something that would hold a bag on the outside of the cabinet door. If you want it to go inside, make sure it will fit before you buy it.

My daughter was awful about emptying her bathroom trash & i hated seeing it when i walked in. Getting this & turning it to the inside under cabinet you can’t see it anymore.

I think the degree of love is based on how well it works with your cabinet, the clearance, etc. I bought this for our airstream sport trailer. It hangs on the inside of the kitchen cabinet and there is not the best clearance in there for for letting me get through the meal prep for two people for basically the day, no problem. If it gets too full, it will not fit in the cabinet closed and i will just switch it to hang on the outside which reminds hubby to drop it by the campsite trash dumpster.

Saving the planet one bag at a time. Best little purchase i’ve made at amazon. I no longer buy huge trash bags for just my husband and me. We have a supply of those grocery store bags, and we use them for trash and recycling. This fits on the cupboard door nicely and holds trash for a few days. Then i slip it off, tie it up, and bounce it out to the huge trash bin. So simple, and the bags are free from buying groceries that don’t fit in my reusable bags. This is ideal for empty-nesters for trash or recyclables. So happy with this purchase.
